2 Years Later:

It's been two years since Leah picked up and moved to Seattle. She needed a break from the FBI, from the BAU. She loved all of them but she needed to heal physically and mentally and she needed to do that by herself.

But a couple weeks ago Hotch called and asked if she had any intention to come back. So here she is packing up the last of her stuff to move back to Virginia.

"That's everything." Mark said putting the last box on top of a different one that was sitting on the floor. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"I love my job Mark, and I miss everyone. I'll still come visit." She smiled. "And besides Seattle rains way too much."

"It does." He nodded agreeing with her. "So what about your loverman."

"He's probably married by now." She said wondering if he was. She wondered if their bond would be the same as when she left. Or do they all hate her after all, it was very sudden when she moved and she didn't give the best goodbye.

"I bet he's not, but come on let's load these into the u-haul." He said picking up a box and walking out the door before she could even answer him.

Standing in front of the BAU headquarters for the first time was weird, she thought. This was her life for a year, and she had to leave it all behind. Leah swallowed the lump in her throat walking inside, then into the elevator pressing the number 6. Every floor the elevator went up her heart beat quickened. The final ding of the elevator indicating it was time for her to get off.

She walked out and walked through the glass doors, the room was empty, then looked up and saw them all in the briefing room, probably discussing a case.

"Can I help you?" Leah heard the familiar voice behind her. "Oh my god Leah?" Penelope said as soon as she turned around.

"Penelope." She smiled immediately hugging her. They pulled away from each other and Leah could tell she was confused.

"What are you doing here? Not that I don't want you here but you like left but now your here." She ranted saying every thought that popped up in her head.

"I'm getting my job back and I know but I needed to get away for awhile." She said and Penelope nodded. "Walk me in?" She asked teaching out my arm where Garcia looped her arm in with hers and they walked up the stairs down the hallway to the briefing room.

"I found someone." Penelope said walking in before her. "Who?" Leah heard Derek's voice ask. She took a deep breath and followed in behind Garcia making her presence known. "Me." Leah watched as everyone grew confused looking to each other, then saw Hotch walk towards her.

"Leah will be joining us back on the team." Hotch said then gave her a hug. "It's good to see you." He said quietly. "It's good to be back." She said back. They moved away from each other, everyone was now standing up walking towards me.

"Are you serious? Your back?" Emily asked. It was weird seeing Emily now, she still looked the same, the same smile, the same warmness.

"Yeah." I said then giving Emily a hug, then JJ, Spencer and finally Rossi. Rossi had always had always been a father figure towards everyone on the team but Leah especially.

Leah looked to the only person she hadn't said anything too yet. She looked him up and down, not caring if he noticed. She found herself looking at his hand just in case he was married. She didn't see one so she hoped that meant he wasn't with someone.

Derek didn't know how to react to seeing Leah again. It was weird, he hadn't seen her in 2 years but she looked the same expect her long blonde hair was now short blonde. He watched her look him up and down, which he did the same to her, noticing a new tattoo on her arm. He couldn't make out what it was but it looked like it covered a good portion of her arm.

Everybody watched to see which one of them were going to make a move first. Everyone knew Leah and Derek had grown feelings for each other, it was just the wrong time.

Derek looked like he was thinking something but shook it off and finally pulled Leah in for a hug. Leah relaxed into his arms, hugging him back.

"Let's leave them alone." Penelope whispered to Emily, who whispered to JJ, who whispered to Spencer like a game of telephone. Hotch and Rossi took the hint to leave when they watched everyone else leave.

"I missed you." Leah said to him still not moving from the hug. "I've missed you too." Derek said. He had so many questions to ask her but figured her would wait until another time, he wanted to enjoy the moment.

"50 bucks say they'll be together by Valentine's Day." Emily said walking down the stairs, it was already the beginning of October, which gave Emily's prediction around 5 months to come true.

"That long? I bet $75, they'll be together by thanksgiving." JJ said then got cut off by Rossi.

"200 says they are together by Christmas." He said, knowing he was right.

"I guess we'll see." Emily said drinking out of her coffee cup. By this time Derek and Leah were walking out of the briefing room.

"You guys want to get food?" Leah asked and everyone shook their head yes. "It's on me." Rossi said grabbing his jacket, everyone else did the same then walked towards the elevator. "Mexican?" Leah proposed.

"I was just thinking that." Emily said laughing. Leah looked at the group of them, all of them had a smile on their face and looked genuinely happy.
