After I had dropped her off at her house earlier—which by the way was a close call because I had to somehow make sure she didn't see any of my other very expensive cars and only see the one a "normal" FBI agent would be able to afford— I drove back home and called Nik to tell him to inform the people at work I wouldn't be available today. Which is because Liam and I have a few things to take care of concerning that girl who was trafficked by well, Liam's own mafia. His brother Declan to be more specific.
I'd always known Declan was a giant pain in the ass, that he had little to no morals—not that anyone involved in the mafia has that many to begin with— but even with that being said I'd never expected him to go as far as to get involved with sex trafficking. That's a little bit too far, even for people like me.
We've agreed to meet up back at my house so we can both get there at the same time to make sure we have some sort of backup in case anything goes south. Which is exactly why I quickly spot Liam's car in my driveway right when I get through the gates but then I also spot Elias's car. Well shit. As much Elias has been a great help before—the whole being a doctor thing— as much as he also wouldn't be my first choice for dealing with such sensitive matters simply because of the fact that he has tendency to say things he shouldn't and or throw in a few inappropriate jokes at even more inappropriate times.
But I also know better than to ask him not to come with us.
So I simply just ignore it and get out of the car to greet them. "Hey man," Elias immediately says tapping my shoulder then leaning against his car. "Hey, you guys got my message with the hotel information?" They both nod. "And the nurse?" They nod again confirming they did indeed bring in a female nurse because I doubt a victim of sex trafficking who was probably raped countless times than I would like to think would be comfortable getting help from a man. And again after all this is about helping her not putting her through more trauma.
"Great, then we're all set here I'll meet you guys up there?"
"Yeah sure" Elias answers while Liam simply overs a mere nod.
❁Once we get to the hotel I ordered Ivan to bring her to—one of my own for security purposes—I quickly notice Liam is alone. Oh for fucks sake. I think to myself reaching up to run my temple. "Where the fuck is your brother?" I question Liam.
"No idea." He answers shortly "Someone isn't in a good mood today." I tease "Not that you're ever actually in a good mood. That is unless you're having a threesome or some shit." That night was definitely one of the craziest I've ever had and Nik wouldn't stop complaining for weeks about us not inviting him but he got over it eventually."Nothing things have just been a little complicated with the company and all. Plus I've been getting a lot more involved in all this than I would ever like to be." One thing about Liam and Elias O'Sullivan was that they both had little to zero interest in the mafia. Despite well, being raised to be killers as all of have, they just took those skills and shoved them to the side to pursue more...normal careers if you will.
