"Gabbie, I need more jelly shots from the fridge

"Gabbie, I need more jelly shots from the fridge." I ask my sister, noting that there are a few free spaces in the acrylic rotating shot holder to fill with more cups.

"Hold on, I'm busy with this...fucking-thing!" She answers through gritted teeth. I turn around and see that she is climbing on a chair and struggling with the disc backdrop she is trying to hang on the ceiling.

"I'll bring you the shots, babe!" Suki shouts from the pool, stopping throwing glow sticks on the water when she heard me.

"Thank you, Kiki." I smile at her and then return my attention to my sister "Do you need help, G?"

"No, no, I...got it. Done!" She sighs and grins proudly staring at her work with her hands on her waist "How does it look?"

"Pretty amazing, you're a genius." I fold my arms in front of my chest and nod with a smile. It was her idea to place a disc backdrop (that she made with her own hands) for a bit of decoration and for taking pictures. It looks really good. You can tell Gabbie is very excited for this party, it's her first time throwing one and she wants everything to look perfect.

When Suki comes back with ten more jelly shots of different colors, I set them in the holder and fill more bowls with snacks. We placed the table with the food and the drinks in the poolside gazebo, decorating the ceiling with a few balloons and the columns with neon tube lights. Gabbie wanted something cool but nothing too exaggerated that screamed a sixth grade party. High school kids didn't care about the decoration, they just wanted alcohol, good music, drugs and snacks.

And we got all that.

In the bowls we served doritos nacho cheese and cool ranch, cheetos asteroids, ritzs, lays, gummies with vodka, sour worms haribos, ring pops and nerds. There's a sea of alcohol and mixers, bottles of vodka, rum, tequila, gin, beer kegs, smirnoff and coolers with cans. The coolers have neon sticks at the bottom so the ice looks colorful. I made a delicious fruit punch for the people that don't drink and got surge, coca cola. redbull, sprite and cranberry juice. The red solo cups are scattered and organized in towers all over the table. The pizza will arrive later, we ordered a bunch of boxes.

Sadie promised to roll a good amount of blunts and joints for the night, for us and to sell. That's their secret business.

It's been a while since we threw a party in my house and it made me reminisce about the times where Sam and I hosted people in the backyard literally every weekend. There was this pool party we did when Sam graduated from high school that almost everyone was naked and high on ecstasy. It was wild. The good thing about where I live is that the neighborhood is huge and the houses are separated in a considerable great distance from each other so our neighbors never complained. Or so I think.
