A tiger leaped up over the giant tree trunks, his eyes sharper than the usual as the unknown figures behind him flew low beneath his tail.

"Come here you little guardian! You think you can lose us?!" One of the black figures laughed.

"Oh just wait 'till I taste your soul! Mm~ I bet you'll taste absolutely delightful!"

"Ha, if you can losers" Hanbin retorted back, shifting into his human appearance as he dived down a water tunnel.

"Ah! Blasted crystal!" He heard one of them yell.

"This isn't the end Hanbin!!!"

Hanbin just chuckled as the running water brought him to a lake.

He swam up the surface as he spitted out the water, his arms immediately swimming towards the land.

He choked out some more water as he sat on the ground.

"Ah sh*t, I hope it's still here" He mumbled, rummaging through his bag only for all of it to spill out.

"And my bag's torn" He sighed, ruffling his hair in frustation as he began gathering his things.

After gathering it all, he noticed one missing.

'Where's my dagger?'

He looked around and eventually spotted the weapon stuck on a tree. "Now how did that get there?" He chuckled, standing up to reach it only for another hand to meet his.

He looked beside him, seeing a taller male with purple hair looking at him with doe eyes.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, is this yours?" He asked softly.

"Gah!" Hanbin jumped. "You scared me!"

The purple-haired boy chuckled. "Sorry...." He shyly said. "I just heard sounds coming from here and I decided to check. Turns it out it's just you. But......" His smile slowly dropped. "I don't quite remember seeing you here? Or are you a traveler of any sort?"

"Oh um....well I'm on a mission actually" Hanbin said, grabbing his dagger from the tree. "I have to get to the borderline of the land of the good and land of the bad. But some dark spirits chased me and I ended up coming here" He chuckled awkwardly, as he began to gather his things once again. "May I ask what is this place by the way?"

The purple-haired boy smiled. "This is the borderline" He reached out his hand. "You can call me Hwarang" He giggled, his pointy ears wiggling in delight.

The tiger hybrid smiled back, taking his hand and shook it. "Hanbin. Call me Hanbin"

Hwarang held back a laugh as he looked down. "You dropped your things" He pointed out.

Hanbin looked down and realized he dropped all the things he gathered to give Hwarang a handshake.

"O-Oh, sorry, you see my bag got torn....."

"So you are a tiger hybrid? How fascinating!" Hwarang cheered.

Hanbin chuckled. "Me? I'M fascinated of you! I haven't seen an elf for like.....ages!!"

Hwarang chuckled. "We like to keep it...low-key" He looked up and grinned. "Oh look, we're at our house"

"Our?"

"Yeah, I live with a couple of creature friends" He smiled as he pushed the door open.

"Hey guys~ I brought a guest!" Hwarang exclaimed, pushing a flustered Hanbin.

A head suddenly popped up from above. "Hello!" He greeted making Hanbin jump.

"Oh! Sorry to startle you!" He smiled cheekily, landing on the floor like Spider-Man. "I'm Hyuk by the way"

"The loud hyena hybrid" A young male popped in from nowhere, his irises shining red. "Hi, I'm Taerae, the vampire" He smiled, his fangs showing.

"Oh, nice to meet you"

Just then two boys came down from a room, looking up at sync. "Oh! Hwarang, you brought in a guest!" The taller of the two exclaimed, skipping over to Hanbin. "Hi! I'm Hyeongseob. I'm a—"

"Puppy hybrid, I can see" Hanbin chuckled, pointing at his puppy ears instead of human ones.

"Yeah, and this here is Lew. He's kinda like our leader" Hyeonseob said.

"Hi" Lew waved. "I'm a warlock" He said.

"Warlock? That's awesome!" Hanbin exclaimed.

"Wait, where's Eunchan?" Hwarang asked.

"He's.....somewhere" Hyuk eyed Hyeongseob.

The puppy hybrid sighed, whistling out. "Eunchan! Where are you?!"

Just then the door behind them made a thud sound and a boy with werewolf ears collapsed on the ground.

"Do not......use that whistle you here me?!" He yelled, getting back up his feet.

"We have a guest over, that's why we called you" Taerae said, crossing his arms.

"Oh" The werewolf looked up to see the tiger hybrid. "Hi, I'm Eunchan"

"Hanbin" The tiger smiled.

He then looked around at them. "So all of you live here by the border?"

"Yeah....." Lew said. "Are you perhaps......from the bright side?" He asked, his eyes flashing a quick orange before returning to his normal blue ones.

"I am..." Hanbin pursed his lips. "But I have no intention of using you or anything! I'm just looking for a special plant ordered by our headmaster"

"Headmaster? Are you under some secret organization or something?" Eunchan rose an eyebrow.

"No! No! It's not like that!" Hanbin chuckled awkwardly. "I'm a magic guardian you see" He said, showing off the stones on the back of his hand.

"Wow, that's looks so cool" Taerae said.

"Aw thanks" Hanbin smiled, hiding it away. "Anyways.....I really must be off. I know finding the plant won't be easy and I really need to finish this mission A-S-A-P" Hanbin said. "So I really need to—"

"But you just got here!" Hyuk whined.

"I know I know, but really, I need to find that plant as s—"

"And which plant are you talking about?" Lew asked. "I think I can help you"

"A pixie dust bonsai" Hanbin said, chuckling after he said it. "I know, I know, that sounds a little too weird"

"No, not at all" Hyeonseob shook his head. "Actually, I think I kinda noticed Taerae growing some. Right Tae?"

"Oh, a pixie dust bonsai? Oh yeah! I totally have a ton of those" Taerae said, running away for a second then coming back after with a small tree in a small pot with twinkling golden dust pouring out from the inside of the trunk.

Hanbin's jaw dropped.

"Now can you stay with us for awhile?" Hwarang pleaded.

Hanbin sighed. "Okay, but just for tonight"

"Yes!" Hwarang and Taerae cheered at the same time, coming at each other for a high-five.

Hanbin chuckled, awkwardly putting his hands in his pant pockets.
