Veer calls Bani. But it's switched off. Veer goes to office. He runs upstairs.

Veer: Manager sir?

Manager: Veer you came. thank you dear.

Veer: any news of her?

Manager: no.

Veer: did you talk to her mother?

Manager: no. I'm afraid that would only make the situation worse.

Veer nods: why didn't you inform the police?

Manager: Owner of Sharma industry gone missing is not something you say out in public Veeranshu. I've already contacted our security team.

Veer: Are you joking? A 18 years girl is missing. No one knows where she is. Anything can happen to her. Her life might be in danger.

Manager stays quiet.

Veer: I'm going to police station. I've a friend there.

Veer presses the lift. Time passes but it doesn't come.

Veer: why is the lift getting late?

Manager: it has stopped functioning again. People are using the other lift.

Veer: oh.

Then something comes to his mind.

Veer: Are you sure she hasn't come to the office?

Manager: yes dear. I've been here since morning. She has come here. 

Veer: let's check the CCTV footage.

Manager: ok.

After checking the footage they see that Bani has come inside and got in the lift.

Manager: but she never came up

Veer: Shit. She's in the lift.

Veer shouts at the mechanics to open the lift. When it opens he finds Bani lying there unconscious. Veer quickly takes her to the hospital.

Doctor: she has been unconscious for a long time. Might have had a panic attack. You should have been careful. She could have lost her life because of this.

Veer: doctor will she be ok?

Doctor: I've given the medication. Make sure she gets full rest.

Veer: when will she wake up?

Doctor: that's uncertain. May take few hours or few minutes.

Veer to manager: make sure the lift is fixed by today. What kind of company do you run? The lift has been malfunctioning since I've come there. Fix it today.

Manager goes out with the doctor. Veer stays beside Bani.

Veer: why do such things happen to you only Bani? Can't you take good care of yourself? What if something happened to you today?

After an hour Bani is still unconscious. Doctor comes.

Doctor: her vitals are stable. She's sleeping now. You can take her home if you want.

Veer fulfills the formalities and brings Bani home. After two hours Bani wakes up. She opens her eyes and can't recognise where she is. Veer comes .

Veer: You're awake. Thank god. Here have some water.

Bani: where am I? What happened to me?

Veer scolds: Don't you remember anything? How could you be so careless Bani? If you were stuck in the lift, why didn't you press the alarm button? Why didn't you call anyone? What were you thinking only crying in fear would save you from death?

Bani she tries to remember what happened. Bani remembers how she choked inside the lift. Bani starts to shiver and cry again. Veer hugs her right away.

Veer: hey it's ok. You're safe now.

Bani cries: I was stuck in there. No one came. It was dark.

Veer: you are out now. Don't cry.

Bani: I thought I would die.

Veer cups her face: why didn't you call anybody? Or why didn't you press the alarm button?

Bani shivers: I was dead scared. I forgot to press the button. I didn't have anyone to ask for help. Then I started choking. And everything went dark.

Veer: why didn't you call me?

Bani: why should call you? Who are you to me?

Veer sighs: I could have lost you because of your stupidity. Do you know how much worried I was? I didn't know where to search for you. Why didn't you tell me that you have been followed since one week?

Bani: not one week. They have been following for more than that. I informed manager uncle. They called police. But none of them were caught. Then for few days everything was fine. Then one day they threw stones at my window. That's when I called manager uncle and started sleeping in the office. Police are still searching for those people.

Veer: Hm. Now take rest. I'll bring soup for you.

Bani: where am I? This is not hospital.

Veer: It's my house.

Bani: what? Why did you bring me here?

Veer: doctor said you were alright to discharge. That's why.

Bani remembers that Veer has his girlfriend with him. She looks at the house awkwardly. Her heart broke again. She tries to get up.

Bani: I'll leave now. Thanks for your kindness.

Veer: are you crazy? Where are you going?

Bani: to my house.

Veer: you can't go there. There's no one to take care of you there.

Bani (angrily): I won't stay at your house.

Veer: Shut up. You've done enough as you wish. Now you will listen to me. You're going to stay in this house until those culprits are caught and do as I say.

Bani Stands up: Why should I listen to you? You stay with your girlfriend here. You don't have to bother with me.

Veer: I don't have girlfriend ok. I stay here alone.

Bani: what? That day you said that you live with your girlfriend.

Veer: I lied. If I didn't tell her that I've a girlfriend she could have come to my house. I didn't know her aunt lived here.

Bani: Oh.

Veer: you sit here. I'm coming.

Bani looks around the house. It is a small flat but nice. Bani was happy that he did not have a girlfriend and she was staying with him.
