Veer leaves Bani in the room and goes to kitchen. Bani looks inside the room. It's simple. Then she comes out. She sees that Veer is cooking. Bani goes to him.

Veer: what are you doing here?

Bani: nothing. Only roaming around.

Veer: go to the room. I'm bringing your dinner.

Bani: are you sure that you want me to stay in your flat?

Veer: why?

Bani: I can go back to my house. I will be fine.

Veer: don't you have the habit of listening to others?

Bani: then you come with me in my house.

Veer: No. I just shifted here. And I'm not comfortable in living at your place. I like this small flat of mine.

Bani: I want to take shower. I sweated a lot in the lift.

Veer: Bathroom is inside the bedroom. At the corner.

Bani: ok.

Bani takes shower. But she doesn't have anything to wear now. She wears Veer's bathrobe that covers her fully. Bani wants to call Veer but stops thinking he will misunderstand her again seeing like this and talk harsh words. She sits on the bed quietly. Veer comes inside and sees her in bathrobe.

Veer: Bani your dinner. Have (stops)

Bani (quietly): I don't have anything else to wear. Sorry. I should have thought about it before going to shower.

Veer: cute lag rahi ho.

Bani: Huh 😦

Bani looks at Veer shocked. Veer smiles slightly. He puts the food aside and takes out his T-shirt and trousers from cupboard.

Veer: Wear this for today. Tomorrow I'll bring your luggage here.

Bani takes it and goes to change. After she comes back Veer stares at her. He feels something flipping in his heart but ignores. He gives her the food. Bani eats.

Veer: why didn't you dry your hair?

Bani: it will get dry on its own.

Veer: you will catch cold. It's late night.

He takes out his hair dryer and starts to dry her hair. Bani stops eating.

Veer: You eat. I'll dry your hair.

Bani feels overwhelmed. After eating Veer gives her medicine.

Veer: You sleep in the bed. I'll sleep on the couch outside.

Bani: No it's your house. You sleep here. I'll sleep in the couch.

Veer: Bani let's not do the cliche drama. You sleep here comfortably. You're sick. I'll sleep there.

Bani: I'm fine now Veer. And you won't fit in couch. I'll go.

Veer: okay sleep on the bed tonight. From tomorrow you can sleep in the couch.

Bani: ok.

Veer gets up to go out but Bani calls him.

Bani: Veer.

Veer: yes?

Bani: Can you stay here for sometime. Until I fall asleep.

Veer: ok.

Both stay in silence for some time.

Veer: This place does not have ac. Do you feel uncomfortable?

Bani smiles: No. It's very comfy. I have someone staying with me.

Veer: Are you still scared about what happened in the lift?

Bani: a little maybe. But I didn't mean that. I'm scared to sleep alone.

Veer: what? But you stay in that Sharma house alone .

Bani: yes. That's why I brought you to that house. That's why I used to call you at mid night. That's why I stay late in the office. Because at home there is no one waiting for me. Office is crowder than home.

Veer (feels bad): I'm sorry. I never understood.

Bani laughs: It's ok Veer. Don't sympathise on me. I'm used to this loneliness. I have got used to be scared till get asleep. Only today I'm feeling little weak. I'll be ok tomorrow.

Veer: Hm.

(Silence)

Bani: Veer

Veer: Hm?

Bani: that time you said that you were very worried about me today.

Veer: yes.

Bani: You said you thought you had lost me today. Did you mean it?

Veer stays silent for some time.

Veer: Yes. I meant it. You don't know how anxious I was. I also didn't know that you mean so much to me. But I don't want to talk about this Bani. I don't want to give you false hope. I myself don't know what's happening to me. What I'll do. Let's just let it be the way it is and not rush ourselves to anything. Goodnight.

Bani: Goodnight.

Both sleep at their respective place. In the morning Bani gets up and sees that Veer is sleeping hugging her.
