The same thing kept happening for the past seven days, besides yesterday, so six days, but who keeps sending these cookies?! They're so goddamn annoying! It's wasting a lot of his time...Time is going faster and faster. And his research hasn't been even completed yet! This is only bringing more burdens to Espresso's schedule.

Espresso had begun to realize how these attackers only came during dawn, so they wouldn't be coming by in the afternoon. Lucky for him, the researchers were here today. As much as Espresso hated to admit it, he could really use some help. He really hoped the researchers will stay till tonight. Elder Custard hasn't been doing anything about the attacks and had been leaving Espresso all alone to deal with the problems. Hell! The damn old man told him to stay in the room forever unless it was absolutely necessary! Espresso realized that the reason the old man wasn't listening to him was because that he- was Espresso. A coffee race cookie who was raised in the lower city.

Of course out of all the situations, one of the politicians was going to end up being racist. So Espresso had thought since the other researchers were more light magic dough. Elder Custard would actually listen to them and actually do something about it. All the researchers had to do was witness the attackers, then have himself beat up the attackers, and convince the researchers to report this to Elder Custard. What a perfect plan!

Espresso then sighed, life is so f*cked up. He had to make an entire plan JUST to get an elder to do something about the problems. How ridiculous is that?! But that's what life's all about for a different race cookie at the Crème Republic. However, Espresso liked to admit, things had gotten a little better.

For example, there was no visit from Landlord Cookie anymore about his, "Your time is running up, I need my payment." Seriously he was really annoying. Though it was a bit confusing and astonishing to know that he didn't come to bug him anymore the past three days.

There was also another thing that had been bothering Espresso though, there was this strange feeling. The feeling that crept up his skin, it felt like...being watched. Espresso had looked around himself countless times, checking the cabinets or behind the door, but there was nothing. Espresso was wondering if he gone insane or something, maybe all this non-stop work was giving him hallucinations. Espresso decided to get used to the feeling and simply, not pay attention to it. But he decided to keep note of it.

The attackers didn't come yesterday, which was suspicious as Espresso had expected them. Maybe the attackers were trying to think of a new plan, well whatever it was Espresso was going to make sure he surpassed it. Or maybe something else would happen today? Are they going to come here tanked? The idea made Espresso snort a bit, for some reason. Who knows...maybe today will be normal as yesterday.

Suddenly a knock on the door was heard, Espresso and the researchers immediately turned their heads toward the door.

"Do you think it's those suspicious cookies again?!" Researcher One questioned nervously, "You did say the attackers didn't come yesterday..." Even though the researcher never saw the attackers, she was still afraid. The other researcher nodded in agreement.

"Well, there's only one way to find out..." Espresso responded as he glared at the door slowly walking towards the door and placing his hand on the doorknob. He immediately opened the door summoning a coffee bean at the same time. But then he blinked as he saw who the cookie was.

Oh, it was... Madeleine Cookie. The researchers now unbothered went back to do their work except for Espresso. Madeleine only smiled at Espresso, "Espresso!" Madeleine exclaimed happily throwing himself on Espresso and hugging him, which resulted in Espresso yelping from the sudden warmth squeezing him.
