Chapter 10 ☆彡

He looked at me, his eyes widened. It was like he had just snapped out of something, like a trance.

I looked at him, frowning, but also tearing up a little. Why was he acting like this? Did I do something wrong? What was happening?

"Nikko.. I'm sorry.." He started. "I don't know what got into me.. I.." I saw that his mouth was still moving. I felt everything get blurry. I felt tired all of a sudden.

What was happening? Was I going to die? I didn't wanna die. I saw him say something to me. I couldn't hear him. Did I go deaf? No, I was hearing him perfectly fine a minute ago. I felt him shake me, but then after that happened, everything went black.

3rd person POV

• Meanwhile, in the stadium..

"Alright! Now Raven Tail is in first place!" Chapati yelled. The scoreboard showed this...

1st : Raven Tail - 26 P
2nd : Sabertooth - 20 P
2nd : Lamia Scale - 20 P
4th : Blue Pegasus - 17 P
5th : Quatro Cerberus - 12 P
6th : Mermaid Heel - 9 P
7th : Fairy Tail B - 2 P
7th : Fairy Tail A - 2 P

"Cool!!~" Jason, the reporter, squealed.

"Sabertooth has dropped to second place!" Chapati yelled in shock and excitement.

"Sabertooth is in second?!" Lector, the small red exceed asked incredulity. "I think it's Sting's fault.." Fro said.

Natsu was in the infirmary, still sick from the competition. Wendy in another bed, by him, sleeping. Lucy turned to Porlyusica.

"Is Natsu okay?" She asked the pink haired lady. "There's nothing to worry about him." Porlyusica told her. "He just has motion sickness."

"What about Wendy?" The blonde asked. "She's recovered a lot." Porlyusica told her. "Are you back to normal, Carla?" Lucy asked the exceed. "Yes.." The cat told her hesitantly.

"Well, thank goodness for that!" Lucy said in relief. She ran out the room, stopping at the door. "Everyone's waiting, so I'll be going." She ran, but then stopped suddenly. Her eyes went wide, and her hand went to her mouth in shock.

"Help her, please.." He pleaded, holding the brown haired girl close to him. He looked pained.

"What did you do to Nikko?!" Lucy yelled. His face twisted in hurt when he looked down at her. "I-I pushed her.. to a wall, hard. She hit her head. I think she injured it. And her back.."

"Why was she even with you?!" Lucy asked. He said nothing. "Come.. Well have Porlyusica-san check her out." She said lowly.

Sting looked up, in relief. They quickly ran to the infirmary.

"What are you doing here again?" The lady asked. "Nikko.. She's been injured badly." Lucy told her, she moved to the side, and then revealed the Sabertooth boy, looking down, ashamed. The Fairy Tail girl was in his arms, passed out. Her blood was all over him. Porlyusica's eyes went wide, and Carla gasped.

Porlyusica quickly guided Sting to an empty bed, and told him to lay her there. "Leave!" She yelled at him. Porlyusica had treated her many times, to even know every little thing about the girl. Vice versa, she was like a daughter to her. "I can't." He said calmly.

"I'd be best for you to leave, before anyone finds out.." Lucy reasoned, trying to cover him up. He shook his head. "No.. I'm staying. I'll take full responsibility. Just let me stay with her." He pleaded.

He hated to admit, but he needed help from the Fairies that he laughed at. If he wasn't so furious, this wouldn't had happened. What if she never forgave him? It already broke his heart to see her like this, but her rejecting him as her mate would kill him and send him to hell.

Lucy looked at Porlyusica, asking her with her eyes. Porlyusica sighed, and nodded. She knew whatever she did or say, he wouldn't budge. The determined look in his eyes yelled it out too. She quickly got to work, cleaning the girls head, and her neck, since the blood dripped down.

When she finished cleaning up all the blood, she disinfected the cut that was on her head, and quickly bandaged it up. "Look away." She ordered the boy. He nodded, and turned the other way. Porlyusica cut the girl's shirt, and wrapped up the girl's body with bandages. Her back was bruised, a few spots were black. When she finished, she told the boy that she finished fixing Nikko up.

What surprised Porlyusica, Lucy, and Carla, was that he was silently crying. A tear streamed out of his left eye.

He had only known her for two days, but it seemed like he knew her his whole life. He knew he wasn't only attracted to her, it was something deeper. And he was afraid. He never felt like this before. It was a new, but comforting feeling. Like listening to a peaceful piano's tune.

Natsu got over his motion sickness, and looked around. "What are you doing here?!" He yelled at Sting, his right hand lighting up in fire.

Sting didn't say anything. He wanted to take the blow.

"Natsu, calm down! Nikko was with him, injured." Lucy told him, he looked to his left, and saw the girl with a bandage wrapped around her head and her whole body. Carla quickly covered her body up with a blanket.

"Why was she even with him in the first place?!" He yelled. Lucy held him back. "Damn it! Answer me, Sabertooth boy!"

"I can't say anything, Natsu-san." Sting stated.

"Why? Tell us! You put one of our friends in danger!" He said. "No one gets away when they hurt a member of Fairy Tail!"

"I can't say anything." Sting repeated. "Why can't you?" Lucy asked him. "I just can't.. I don't know if she wants me to or not." He answered.

By the time Lucy went back, the battle had already started.

"Bust up Ivan's guild, dog-like person!" She heard Master yell. "Who's fighting?" She asked Gray. "Toby and Blacksnake." Erza answered for the Ice Mage.

The battle continued.

"Apparently, they made a weird bet." Chapati said. "I'm not interested in either one though.." Yajima said. "COOL!!~" Jason yelled.

"A bet?" Bacchus asked himself, looking down at the fight. "I like the sound of that."

"Why you! C'mere, Fangface!" Toby yelled, trying to land an attack at the Raven Tail guy.
