Jacob's POV

It's been exactly six days since I last spoke to Alexandria. Five days since I kissed Bella. And almost four that it felt like Alexandria was avoiding me. I had been telling myself that I'm not sure how but she knew about me kissing Bella. Why else would she be ignoring my calls. Not to mention she hasn't been seen at school even though they graduate tomorrow. And as far as I could tell no one had been at her home. She probably left me because I'm such an idiot.

Now here I am with another problem.

Paul: Are you seriously going to the bloodsukers house, after you haven't seen or heard from your imprint?

I groaned, the frustration of my problems starting to annoy me.

Sam: If you are planning on going, you're not going alone.

The demand clear in his tone. I looked over at Quil and Embry. They gave a nonchalant shrug.

Embry: We can keep an eye on them around humans in their dungeon.

I rolled my eye but couldn't help but laugh in response.

Sam: There, that's settled. Still no word from Alexandria?

I sighed the temporary distraction already forgotten. I ran a hand through my hair and over my face.

Jacob: No, nothing.

Everyone was quiet for a moment not wanting to make his guilt worse. Then a small sweet voice broke through the tension that was slowly easing it's way into the room.

Emily: Don't worry Jacob. The imprint bond should be calling out to her pulling her to you. At least that's how I felt even though everything was really confusing at the time.

I looked up at her sympathetic smile and couldn't help but give her a sad, grateful one back.

Jacob: Thanks Em.

I sighed and stood from my seat.

Jacob: I'm, uh, gonna head home. See you guys later.

After jogging through the woods on a path to get home, I finally reached the yard. Deciding to head to the garage for a little while then I'll take a nap before patrol. As soon as I walked through the door I was hit with an intoxicating smell. She was here?! Frantically walking further into the garage and followed her scent to see what she may have been doing. Her smell lingered by the car I had been fixing for a friend of my dad's. Maybe she's still here!

I ran out of the garage and into the house, slamming the door in the process. My dad jumped and I could feel his eyes on me as I stormed through the house like a man on a mission.

Billy: Son? Is everything okay?

I burst open my room door still searching for her scent. But it wasn't in the house. She didn't come in. I sighed and turned to his dad.

Jacob: Did Alexandria come by earlier?

Dad gave me a look of confusion.

Billy: You mean your imprint, whom I haven't met yet?

I sighed at dad's unsubtle attempt to hint that he wants to meet her.

Jacob: Well if she were talking to me you'd have met her by now.

Billy: Are you sure about that?

Dad asked referring to the kiss with Bella. He had informed me that it's incredibly hard for imprints to lie to one another. Meaning, Alexandria would've found out about the kiss. Eventually.

Billy: No one has came by since I got back from Sue's. Why?

I sighed.

Jacob: She must've came by when neither of us were here. Why wouldn't she call me?

I looked at dad and he gave me a small smile.

Billy: Well, you are hard to get a hold of son. And I'm guessing you haven't given her all of the house numbers.

I sighed and took a seat on the couch.

Jacob: You're right, I didn't. She must've realized no one was home and thought I might be in the garage.

I sighed in frustration at myself. I wanted to bring her here myself. I was trying to take things slow after our first kiss on the beach. I didn't want to mess things up. And that's just what I did.
