-        Kai's POV       -

I was probably the first to see Nya at the entrance. She looked traumitized, her eyes were puffy and red, and she looked defeated. Her eyes filled with tears when she saw us. I smiled at her, ready to comfort her. She went out from the entrance holding Lloyd. Garmadon made a sharp gasp. Why was she holding Lloyd? Why isn't Lloyd saying hi to us? Why isn't he telling us if he won or not? Why is Nya crying? About a million thoughts were running through my mind, but Nya answered them all with just one simple sentence. "Lloyd won, everyone. But.. the- the oni powers were too strong." She started crying. "What do you mean 'too strong'? Is he just passed out?" I asked. She stammered. She looked lost. She broke down and moved Lloyd's head to show us whatever had happened. I inhaled sharply. "Is he- alive still?.." I asked. I didn't want to know. I was supposed to protect him. We all were. His head had a piece of concrete carved clean into it, which was still dripping dark red blood. Nya sobbed. "No, and it's all my fault! I didn't come quick enough!" She said, losing it.

"No.." I said, tears filling up my eyes. Everyone rushed over. "It's not your fault, Nya. You did all you could." I said to her. Lloyd's face was pained. His body was limp. I couldn't bare to even look at him. "Yeah.. none of us could save Lloyd." Jay said. Garmadon was crying. As a matter of fact, we all were. I looked at Nya. She had watched him die. I could tell. She was pale and still looked traumitized. "Harumi will pay for making us lose Lloyd." Cole said. "Affirmative. She won't ever get away with killing as many people as she did. She murdered approximately 100,000 innocent lives in a span of two weeks." Zane said. "Those are high odds." Jay said with a hint of fear. I walked out of the room and went outside of the base. "I'm sorry Lloyd, we couldn't save you." I said, looking up. Nya came out as well. She was sobbing. "Do they know his last words?" I asked in between cries. "Y-yes." Nya said. "Did you.. watch him die?" I asked. Nya nodded. "He was crying for his last moments. I was hugging him and he-" Nya stopped mid-sentence and started sobbing. I understood. He died in her arms. She buried her face in her hands and knees. I held around her shoulders cried with her. "What did he tell you?" I asked.

Nya's lip trembled. "He said for me to tell the team thank you for being his family." She said, peering into the distance. She looked up to clear the tears from her eyes. I felt horrible for Nya. If I was in her place, I would be even worse about Lloyd dying. "The- the worst thing about it was the fact that I couldn't do anything. He was trying to keep it together, but the concrete was killing him. He was trying to tell me he was dying with how much he was crying." Nya said, looking down and frowning. I took my arms off from her shoulders. "It was breaking my heart to hear him cry. He rarely does, so I was trying to help him." Nya added. "Is Harumi still trying to take over Ninjago?" I asked. Nya shook her head no. "It's weird that she isn't. I saw her looking at Lloyd dying from a distance. She looked like she was crying." Nya said. A sinister laugh came from behind us. "I was. But that won't stop me from actually killing you this time." Harumi said with an insane tone. Nya and me jumped up. I was pissed off. "You were the cause of his death. You're psycotic!" I yelled. She looked hurt by the sentence, but didn't say it. "I was not the cause of his death. He made his decision to face the Crystal King, and they both died because of it. It was his own blame to take." Harumi said with a loathing tone. Nya pounced at her. "YOU WILL PAY! I SWEAR!" She said.

She was screaming at Harumi. I was only standing there, for Nya acting that insane was scaring me. "Get OFF of me!" Harumi said, kicking her off. Nya landed on her feet swiftly. Nya laughed uncontrollably. I stared at her with concern and worry. "You are RICH." She screamed. "You resurrected the Crystal King, who Lloyd destroyed, accidentally destroying himself too. YOU ARE THE REASON HE'S DEAD!" Nya said in a shrill tone. Nya yelled, lunging for Harumi, but I held her arms. "What are you doing, Kai?!" Nya said, looking at me with anger. "LET ME GO! LET ME AT HER!" Nya screamed, flailing her arms in desperate attempt to lunge at Harumi. Harumi laughed. "Oh no! Where is the green ninja when you need him?" Harumi said, pretending to be a damsel in distress. That was it for me. I let go of Nya, who charged right at Harumi and knocked her clean off of her feet. Harumi chuckled, her eyes glowing a radiant pink. She flung Nya off of her. Nya landed hard in the ground, wincing. Nya got up quickly and bolted to the Samurai X Cave and went inside. I heard her yelling what was going on.

Harumi laughed at me. "Kai is your name, right? Lloyd's suspected protector? Where were you when he died?" Harumi asked, pointing her katana at me. My eyes widened. "Some protector you were. Him dying proves it." Harumi said with a wicked grin. "You don't even care about him. You're just trying to get on my nerves, aren't you?" I said. The anger in my voice was the only thing Harumi heard from me. "I do, actually. More than you do. I was his girlfriend for a little while, remember? Some of that wasn't all fake. I still care for him. I'm not heartless." Harumi said, proving her point with a rather calm smile. "Why are you talking to me?" I asked with force. "Because we are somewhat alike. Why don't you join me?" Harumi said, holding out her arm and grinning. "We are NOTHING alike, alright?" I said, finally breaking and lunging towards her while conjuring up my fire powers and aiming at her. Harumi was caught off guard. Nya came up quickly with everyone else. Harumi used her same sinister laugh. She kicked me off of her. "Did you forget someone?" She asked with a grin. Garmadon looked ticked off. He got into his Oni form and charged at Rumi. Harumi looked unfazed. "Sigh. I'm bored. Let's do something exciting!" She said. Her eyes were glowing pink again and she kicked Garmadon to the ground. "Boom." She said with a laugh. An explosion was heard from the inside of the cave. Nya's eyes looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets. "NO!" She screamed, sprinting in there. "LLOYD!" She yelled, although he wouldn't hear her. He was still stuck inside there. I couldn't lose Nya again. I sprinted after her. "NYA!" I screamed.
