Waleran
Coming back from my run I went to my bedroom. It was time to pack. After trying to convince myself to go along with it, I still refused. To pick another mate was unheard of. Since I'm no longer going to be King what was the point of staying here. I could go off with my mate and live our days out with just us. I will not allow my father to force my hand. Not this time. I usually go along to get along, since my main focus was to get control of my animal side.
I did love the people of Lupine but my mate was made for me and I was not going against that. I will accept my part of the curse, even if that mean walking away from everything I know and love. Walking in my room it was completely silent. Unusually quiet, making me suspicious. I could usually hear my mate heartbeat yet I heard nothing. Moving quickly, I checked around my quarters.
Nothing.
My mate wasn't here at all. Where could she be, she didn't know her way around the Castle. There's no doubt in me that she will get lost if she's not already. Relaxing I focused, thinking about my mate opening our mate bond. She may not be able to hear me but I certainly can hear her.
"Fuck it's closing in on me, I don't know where I'm going. What the hell is that? " I could hear her think.
Her mind was racing and I couldn't understand why. I could feel her fear. Where was she and who was closing in on her? Running around my quarters I checked everywhere again this time making my way around outside my private area, where we were was just a small portion of my wing of the castle. Going door to door I snatched them open at record speed. Now that I was paying attention there was no guards. That was odd all in itself, I was so caught in my own thoughts I didn't notice. I don't have many guards since I really don't need them even still my usual people weren't there and my mate was missing.
"Oh my goodness. I know I wanted to go home but to kill me. What do I do? Which way do I go? Everything look the same. I don't want to die." she thought.
Door after door she was nowhere. Maybe she went outside my wing, why she would do that I don't know but I knew I needed to find her.
I was becoming more and more on edge, getting angrier as time passed. Opening the door that would lead me out I was surprised to see my mother there, with her was a beautiful woman. I really wasn't in the mood to speak with her after that last conversation.Trying not to be rude in front of company I decided to keep quiet. Looking at the woman with her, I could tell she's much older than what they say she is. No way was she only 50 years older than me, even still she was nice to look at for most part. At the moment though I didn't have time to really care I needed to find my mate. However my mother had other plans as she pushed her before me, making her take a bow. Looking up at me, before quickly adverting her eyes away.
She had red hair that stood out against her pale skin. Her green eyes studied the floor as I looked back at her. Her lips were rather small for her face but she still looked nice. She was indeed beautiful however not as beautiful as my mate. Something about her blemish free skin and beautiful full lips that get me every time. Not to mention my mate had curves while she was missing that. If I had to choose I would choose my mate, especially after seeing who they are trying to replace her with.
"Mother?" I questioned, I honestly didn't have time for this.
Hearing my mate scream in my head caught my attention. Trying to side step my mother I was blocked by her stopping me in my tracks.
"Where are you going? I came to introduce you to Zella, your mate." She said with a big smile as if it was true.
I knew exactly who this was before she even told me, no one else come over, ever. Tapping her shoulder, Zella stood up and dropped her dress she had on and stood before me naked. If this was her way of showcasing herself she was in for a rude awakening. Nothing about her enticed me.
