Awakening PT 2
*==================*
❇Mizuki❇

    I woke to being in a coffin bed but the coffin walls were made of glass. My head burned with a headache causing a groan to escape my lips. I heard a loud clatter and footsteps rush over to me. I moved my eyes to see a familiar light-blue-haired male with a wonderful shade of crimson as his irises. He had a deep scar along the left side of his face and his teeth were abnormally sharp. I couldn't remember where I knew him from.

    "Zuki? Are you okay? It's me! Your big brother, Zandik. I found a cure to help you," he said. His eyes held a familiar sight of my beloved brother. From the looks of it, it must've taken a couple of years to cure me. All that time he could've dedicated to something else and he chose to cure me.

    "Zanny?" My voice was harsh and it hurt to use. I began coughing and wheezing in response. Zandik panicked some and quickly pulled out a water pack. He helped me sit up and drink the water he had which I ended up downing entirely as I was extremely thirsty. He sighed as I panted to catch my breath. He looked to see I had indeed downed the whole thing in one go. Zandik held a look of expectancy and turned to me as his gaze softened. He lifted something into my view. A small vial of a glowing red liquid.

    "Here, drink this and you'll start to feel warmer. It might taste spicy though, so be careful," he said. I nodded and took it. I downed it slowly in doses to rest my throat from the burning feeling. My brother handed me another thing of water which I drank and downed entirely again to relieve the spicy feeling in my throat. My stomach started to feel upset and I have a strong feeling now my bother could predict what I need before I need it as he gave me some crackers and a bucket.

    "Try and keep it down. It's important that you do, otherwise, it will not work," he said. I nodded and slowly ate my crackers until my stomach started to feel better. I started to feel sleepy again and I leaned against my brother. He smiled softly and took me into his arms where I felt safe and sound. I wanted to fall asleep then and there, but then it would cause some trouble for him in return. I felt myself get lifted and he held me bridal style. I placed my head on his shoulder as I gripped his shirt gently. I sighed softly and heard the soft footsteps of my brother walking along. I could feel the elegance in his walking. I felt him place me down for a moment before hearing rustling and something placed on my face. He carried me out of the room and shut it behind him. There was a bit of chatter before some silence and then whispers about something. I shifted some and overheard someone speak, "I can't believe he of all people is carrying someone and being kind about it. Do you think he plans to do something to her?"

    "Big brother, where are we going?" I asked softly. He paused for a moment before adjusting me some to place a kiss on my forehead. He hummed softly and spoke, "Getting you to bed. You're tired, are you not? Besides, it's getting late anyway."

    I hummed and nodded as I curled up to him. Silence lingered in the air before it was replaced by his footsteps and the quiet sounds of scurrying feet. I closed my eyes and let the sleepiness carry me to dreamland.

    I was awakened by a bright light. I felt warmth behind me and roll over carefully to see my brother was asleep peacefully. I nuzzled up to his body and felt him stiffen some before relaxing into giving me cuddles. I smiled and giggled as I buried my face into his neck. He pulled away and said, "Come on. We should get up. You need to move around some from how long you were in the status I put you in."

    "How long was I like that? It seems like it's been a long while," I said. Zandik hummed and said, "Ah, well, I managed to make it so I can't age now and I did the same for you. We can still die but only from more severe diseases and injuries if not treated properly in time. It's also been four-hundred years since you had gotten sick too."

    I froze and looked up at him. It's been four-hundred years since I've been asleep. Well, I mean, he is truly dedicated to me. I gave him a soft smile and said, "I love you, big brother."

    "I love you too. I promised I would do anything to protect you and now look, I did it. I made it so I can protect you forever," he stated. I giggled and said as I placed my hands by my head, "I promise to always remain by your side, big brother. It'll be much easier to protect me that way."

    Zandik hummed and we both noticed a soft blue glow originate from my hand. I opened it to reveal a cryo vision. Zandik chuckled and spoke, "How ironic since it was the one thing that almost killed you."

    "Heh, very. But that's so cool too!! I achieved my goal of becoming a vision bearer," I said with a grin. Zandik laughed and hugged me gently as he said, "Good for you, now just don't become over-confident in yourself and get into constant trouble. It's the main reason why I despise some vision bearers I've met."

    "I can't make any promises, but I did say I would stick by your side. I'm not going to try and play bodyguard either. We already know how that turned out last time," I said. Zandik snickered and laughed as I giggled. He hugged me and said, "I still remember that too. You got in between me and the bully but slipped on ice and knocked the both of you down on accident. Later, you started to cry like a baby because landed on your arm."

    "Never again, unless necessary," I said. Zandik sat up and said, "Come on. We have things to do today. Luckily you woke up just in time for a festival too so I don't have much work I need to do since I'm required to have to join in on the festive activities. Don't worry either, I got some clothes that'll fit you."

    "Yay!! I love festivals," I said happily. Zandik gave me my clothes and went to the bathroom with his to get changed. I changed into my clothes. I smiled as my outfit consisted of a white button-up shirt and a white mid-thigh skirt with solid-black stockings underneath and black boots. Over the top of all of it, I had a nice big cozy winter coat with black accents and a white-and-black striped scarf too. I smiled and put on my gloves and attached my new vision to my jacket by clipping it to my right breast pocket. I smiled and turned around after hearing my brother's footsteps. He was fully dressed and was currently clipping a mask to his face. Once Zandik finished with that, he handed me one too. I took it and put it on too. More than likely, even if it has been four hundred years, he wants our identities to be concealed. Probably because he hates it when people see his face and can recognize him or our heritage. But then again, even to me...

My brother is an enigma.
