Though he now noticed a presence behind him and turned to see who it was.
"My my, who is this angel hiding down here away from view?" the same male from earlier asked. The clone's eyes widened and he spoke as he block Pierro's view of her body, "Sir Pierro. You shouldn't be down here. Prime is going to be very upset if he finds out."
"That I happen to find this little area or that I found he's favored one of his many test subjects," Pierro said. The clone nervously laughed, "She wasn't supposed to turn into one."
"Why is that?"
Pierro glared down at the clone who trembled slightly. He couldn't say anything or move without the risk of revealing her relation to Dottore. That is until Pierro turned around. He still had to convince Pierro to leave even with that as the case.
"I asked you a question and expect an answer," Pierro said as he stepped closer. The clone frowned and said, "I cannot tell you. You would have to ask Prime but I know he wouldn't tell you either. She wasn't supposed to end up like this so she is being kept away from the other test subjects."
"Is it a contagious sort of thing?"
The clone nodded to Pierro's question. Pierro frowned as the clone answered, "Absolutely, so for it not to spread, she's kept in this glass coffin for research purposes and as an up-close view. But no one, except Prime or me, is allowed to be down here as it's highly confidential as of this moment."
"Tch, can I at least see the so-called subject?" Pierro asked as he crossed his arms. His eyebrows furrowed as the clone shook his head in response. Pierro turned towards the staircase and began to walk to it before going up the stairs to leave. The clone sighed in relief. He waited a few minutes and looked up to see Prime Dottore storm down the stairs with a potion in hand.
"Why the hell was Pierro here?" Dottore asked. His clone froze a little and informed, "He was looking for you, sir. He found this place by mistake but luckily I was down here so I kept him from finding too much about Mizuki."
"Luckily for me, he can't do anything about me curing her as I already found a cure," Dottore said. His clone smiled and said, "Of course you did, Prime. I'll go keep watch upstairs to make sure no unwanted guests disturb you."
Dottore nodded as his clone walked past him and up the stairs. Dottore was left alone in the room with his little sister in the glass coffin next to him. He took off his mask and placed it on the table across from the coffin before turning back around. He opened the coffin and popped the cork off the vial holding the potion. He opened Mizuki's mouth some and gently gave her a couple of drops down the throat. He waited a bit for something to happen and watched as the frost on her hands retreated some. Dottore smiled a soft sad smile. He felt proud to be able to save his little sister.
"It works. It really works. Now, this just needs to be given to her in small doses for the next few days and she'll be completely cured," Dottore spoke to himself giddily. He corked it and put it on the table for tomorrow before closing the coffin lid. Now he was going to have his sister back and healthy too after four hundred long years. He hummed happily as he left the area after turning out the lights.
The dim red glow of the potion still brought a little light as a pair of crimson eyes began to open some before closing again.
