Harbinger Meeting

    "Remember, everyone in the Fatui calls me "Il Dottore" or "The Doctor" and I'm a harbinger. Do not give out your actual name if you don't want trouble. You can refer to me as Dottore if you don't want to give away our relationship yet," Zandik said. I nodded in response. If I was going to give a name, then I needed one that had some meaning. I bumped into someone and noticed that it was my big brother. He chuckled and said, "Don't worry, Zuzu. So long as you remain with me, no one can or will hurt you."

    "Zuzu? What a cute name for such a beautiful darling. But the question is, why are you so protective of her, Doctor?" an unknown voice asked. Zandik turned his head and gave me a side glance. Our signal for me to get behind him. I moved quickly and hid behind Zandik as he went into a protective stance.

    "Pantalone, why are you here?" Zandik asked. "Pantalone", as my brother called him, hummed and said, "Well, I came to get you because you were running late. Now that I have answered your question, you should answer mine."

    "It's none of your concern of who she is or what her relationship is to me. She is nothing but my assistant to you," Zandik said. Pantalone hummed and I tugged Zandik's coat. He turned his attention to me and I said, "We should get going. Mr. Pantalone did say that we are late."

    "Alright, Zuzu," Zandik spoke. I nodded and he took my hand before leading me away. Pantalone followed behind and I attached myself to my brother's arm. Pantalone showed in his actions that he was very confused and extremely curious about my relationship with Zandik. My guess is that Zandik won't interact with anyone but me. He always coddled me in every way and was wary when I had friends. He never did anything to them for fear it would make me cry or upset but normally he felt at fault that they ran away as they would say he was too scary. I hugged my brother's arm and said, "Thank you for helping me, Dottore. I wouldn't be alive still if you hadn't found that cure."

    "I would figure out how to move a whole mountain if it meant I got to see you smile, Zuzu," Zandik said. He gave me a warm smile as he moved his arm to be around my shoulder. I smiled and said, "You're so sweet, Dottore."

"What in the hell?"

    Pantalone held a bewildered and shocked expression on his face. Zandik huffed and straightened up his posture from pride. I laughed at Zandik's antics of being prideful.

     I smiled as Zandik held my hand. He led me to the bench outside the meeting room and had me sit down. I looked up at him and he spoke, "Just stay here, alright? I have a meeting to attend and I don't want you to be wandering around alone or cooped up in the bedroom for hours with nothing to do. I also thought you would enjoy this for the time being."

    He placed a book of fairytales in my lap and I smiled as I got distracted by the book immediately. He chuckled and walked away. I heard him talk to someone for a moment but didn't pay attention as I got immersed in the book. I didn't pay attention to the person who sat down next to me. I finished the book after a few minutes and saw a fatui guard next to me.

    "What are you here for? Not a lot of people are allowed to be in a restricted fatui section," the guard said. I hummed and said, "I'm waiting for my brother. He's one of the Harbingers so he's given me access to be here. I just got to wait for his meeting to finish."
