Persona 6: Rise of Eris

Chapter 1

Some Research Lab in Tatsumi Port Island - 2026

The janitor of the lab got his AirPods on and put on his favorite song.

He clapped his hands and mouthed along to the lyrics. He mopped the floors and danced while doing his job. He hummed to the beat and then he heard a clattering sound. He then took his AirPods off and asked, "Hello? Who's there?"

He heard the sound again and held his mop out like a weapon. "I'm just a janitor..."

The sound repeated again and again. The janitor gulped and then saw a wolf-like thing with brown fur walk down the hallway. The janitor was confused and asked, "A wolf? What's a wolf doing here?"

"Wolf?!?" The creature asked.

The "wolf" stood upright and revealed that he had magenta leg armor, an orange armband with a "V", and a black military belt holding a sickle. "A wolf is a dog but furrier. A wolf is an evil beast who lives in the mountains! I am a JACKAL!"

The jackal lunged at the janitor and ripped him to shreds. The janitor screamed for help but there was no one to come. The creature ripped through the man's jugular vein and he died. The jackal spat out a bone and said, "Lady Eris."

Then a woman with golden eyes, pale skin, black flowing hair, and wore a blue dress with a neckline. She smirked and said in a British accent, "Abi...Will you be a dear and open the door for me?"

Abi then walked to the door next to the janitor's corpse and opened it for her. Eris "walked" to the door and went into the mysterious room. She saw a giant stone pillar with a dark blue crystal floating on top of it. Eris grinned and said, "Finally...one of the pillars needed to free Mother."

"As in Nyx? The Greek Goddess of the Night?" Abi asked.

"Yes. Nyx is my mother. She was sealed by a bunch of meddling kids who stuck their noses where they didn't belong back in 2009...but when we collect the four pillars of Nyx and Time, the seal will be broken and dear old Mother will bring upon the Fall! Once that happens, no one will stop me now! HAHAHAHAHAH!! NO ONE!!!"

Meanwhile in a medium-sized apartment in Sapporo, Japan. 

Bucky woke up around 8:30 AM and went to the small bedroom of the apartment. He jumped on the bed and saw a sleeping girl with fair skin and long black hair. Bucky chuckled and then licked the girl's chin. "Morning, Yaz."

She chuckled and replied, "Morning, Bucky."

Yaz stretched and got out of bed. She finally managed to put on her shirt since all she had on was her bra and underwear. She then yawned and asked, "What time is it?"

"8:32."

"Good. We have enough time for breakfast." 

Yaz walked to the kitchen and started to cook breakfast. Bucky stretched again and said, "Mmm...Is that egg? After breakfast, what's our agenda?"

"Not sure."

"Yaz, you're 22 and you're a college dropout who's currently made one song. What do you even plan to write since "Nach Mera Hero?"

Yaz chuckled. "No clue. And you're a 5-year-old dog...or is it 16 years? I don't know, dog years are hard to calculate."

"What was Nach Mera Hero based on again?"

"It was based on our trip to India two years ago."

"Ohhhh..."

The two suddenly heard a knock on the door and Bucky barked. Yaz shushed him and opened the door. It was her landlord. Yaz sighed and said, "Hey, Mooroka-san..."

"Yaz-chan. I hope you have my rent."

"Yeah, about that...I'm gonna be a tiny bit late."

"Well, then get the damn money or I'm evicting you. And also taking that dog from you."

"Damn it, Bucky's my emotional support dog. He also got a Purple Heart for serving in the Iraq war."

"Fine...but you better have my rent by two weeks."

The landlord closed the door and Yaz whispered, "Prick..."

"Yeah, I hate him too." Bucky smiled.

"I know. Is he due to the lab so he can get his BOLTS TIGHTENED?!"

Bucky then sat on the couch and howled. "Also, we should get our stuff packed and head to the train station at 1:40. Remember that we have that summer reunion thing with the others."

"Yeah." Yaz smiled. "I know that and also Stone is gonna be there."

"Yep, your boyfriend." Bucky chuckled and Yaz blushed in embarrassment. 

She then took off her shirt and said, "I'm gonna take a bath before we go."

"Okay, Yaz."

She went to the bathroom and closed the door. Bucky looked out the window and pondered about Yaz and the others. Yaz has been having nightmares again about Asuka and Namaari and also there was the news about Megumi's divorce a few months ago. He then wondered what happened to the others since the team hasn't gotten together since last year. The pondering was suddenly broken by the sight of a squirrel. Bucky then started barking and going crazy. "HEY! HEY! NO ONE LIKE YOU SQUIRRELS!!"

The squirrel then look at Bucky and appeared to have flipped him off before climbing up the tree again. Bucky growled in anger. "Fuck you, squirrel!"

He then heard moaning come from the bathroom and the door creaked open a little bit. Bucky's curiosity got to him and walked into the bathroom. In the room, he heard the moaning come from Yaz as she was in the bathtub and doing something with the showerhead. It was the third time this happened since her and Bucky's friendship started. Bucky signed and said, "Yaz."

Yaz suddenly yelped and let go of the showerhead which then started going crazy and spraying water all over the room. Yaz stared at her dog embarrassed and sighed. The two both said at the same time, "We need a vacation..."

Now, we begin the story of...
