Chapter 7

Miami Funeral Home - One year ago...

Anna sat depressed in her black dress and gloves. It was Granny's funeral...A week after the team's trip to India. She sighed and heard footsteps as she saw the others all dressed. Even Bucky had a tailor-made suit on him only leaving out his tail and paws. She stood up and said, "Hey...Thanks for coming."

"It's what Granny would want,"  Yaz said.

"Blacks usually not my color..." Stone said. "But this is an important event so..."

"Sorry for your loss," Aika said. 

"It's alright," Anna replied.

"We should get going," Hanzo said as he looked at his phone for the time.

The heroes sat down and the priest came near Granny's casket. He sighed and opened his bible. "Dearly beloved, we come here today to say goodbye to our dearly departed friend, Barbara Walker. She was taken from us on June 16th, 2025. As she may not be with us today, she will be with us...in our hearts..."

Anna sighed. It's okay...It's okay...IT'S OKAY...IT'S OKAY...It's not okay...

She suddenly broke into tears and screamed, "NOOOOO!!!!! GRANNY!!!!! WHY?!?!?!? WHY DID YOU TAKE HER FROM ME, DEATH?!?!?!?!? NOOOOOO!!!!!"

"Anna!" Ryu tried to calm her but it was no use.

"Ms. Walker! Please calm yourself!" The priest said.

"I WILL NOT CALM DOWN!!" Anna shouted. "I WANT GOD TO GIVE BACK MY GRANDMA!!! PLEASE, GOD, GIVE ME BACK GRANNY!!!"

Present Day

Anna jolted awake and saw that she was outside her house. She then looked to see that she was in her SEES suit. She stood up and looked around to see what was going on. Suddenly, she heard footsteps and saw a young girl. The girl had green eyes, long red hair, a yellow headband with a ruffle-like vibe, and wore a long black lolita dress, white stockings, and black heeled boots. The girl smiled and showed her axe. "I'm Shi Seikatsu. I was sent here to attack you."

Anna scoffed and said, "Really?"

Suddenly Shi revealed that her axe was connected to a chain and Anna gulped. She pulled out her whip. Shit...

Shi quickly swung her chained axe to her and Anna tried to block it with her whip. It was a struggle to deal with and then Anna managed to get enough room to summon Selene. The vampiric woman cast Eigaon and Shi smiled. "Y'know, blondie...I guess it's time to show you my Persona too. Come, Sati!"

She suddenly summoned a woman with white skin. Sati had black hair, a black dress with golden gems, a golden crown, and a black cloth that covered her mouth and nose. She was also surrounded by fire. Shi smiled and the Persona cast Agidyne. Anna quickly dodged it and used her whip to wrap around Shi but the assassin cut through the chain with her axe and then summoned Sati again to cast Maragidyne which Anna was caught in and fell to the ground.

Anna groaned in pain and uttered, "Even if you kill me, there are others with power like mine..."

Shi smiled and said, "That's why you're the bait."

Shi suddenly punched Anna unconscious.

Meanwhile, at Eris's caravan near the Biosynn Laboratory

Eris sighed as she sat nude in the hot tub section of her caravan. Ichiko sighed as well. Eris pulled out a cigarette and asked, "How's the water?" 

"Good," Ichiko replied. "How is your skin so pale yet you have great boobs? Isn't smoking supposed to be dangerous to your body?"
