Vicky and Alex were discussing how their lives had been turned upside down in just a day. It was as if the world had suddenly become a different place.

Flashback

Morning 10:30

Today was their inter-college baseball finals, the field was a few miles away from Sophie's house.

They had won their match, and the excitement had been palpable as they picked up their gear and made plans for a trip to the beach.

After winning the match, Vicky, Alex, and Ashton had planned to have a trip to the beach. As they were about to leave, they heard screams from the field.

The sight was unbelievable - people were attacking each other, running in all directions. It was so confusing, like what the hell was happening.

The three friends were blankly looking at what was happening when their P.E. sir came running towards them. "Go to some safe place!" he yelled. "There's an outbreak of a deadly virus that turns people into zombies!"

They couldn't believe what they were hearing. Zombies? Was this some kind of sick joke? But the look of terror on their teacher's face told them that this was very real. They grabbed their baseball kits and ran towards Alex's car, hoping to get as far away as possible from the chaos that was unfolding.

As they rushed out of the field, the terrifying screams echoed behind them. The sight was unimaginable - people attacking each other, running in all directions like animals. They didn't waste a single second and got into Alex's car, driving as fast as they could towards his house, which was the nearest safe place.

As they approached a crossroad, they were faced with a horrid sight. Many cars were rolled over each other, and the entire road was blocked. There was no way to move forward, and they knew they had to take a diversion to reach Alex's house. But as they drove down a side street, disaster struck - their car hit a piece of wood with nails piercing out of it, puncturing the tire.

Alex cursed at the trap that someone had set for them. But Vicky was quick to notice that it could be a trap, someone using them as bait to lure them away from safety. Ashton agreed, and they quickly realized that the loud sound of the tire would soon attract zombies towards them. They had to leave their car and hide.As they got out of the car, the sound of approaching zombies grew louder. They ran towards a nearby abandoned house and hid inside. Soon after, a group of zombies had gathered near their car, following the noise. The three of them sighed in relief that they were safe, at least for now.

But they knew that they couldn't stay there for long. As they waited inside the abandoned house for the next two hours, they could hear the zombies scratching and clawing at the walls, trying to get in. Their hearts raced with fear as they wondered if they would make it out alive.
