At first I could feel the tips of my fingers brushing against soft grass, and could hear the wind blowing in the sky above. I feared opening my eyes. What if this was another memory.

"Child wake." A old woman's voice called.

"Are you sure she is alive?" A girls voice chirped in.

"She would not be here if she wasn't, its the same as all the others." Another  woman's voice was added to the mix. There were three voices that didn't come from far off.

I finally opened my eyes, I was laying on my back and the sun didn't burn. The clear sky was purplish and pink as if the sun was setting in the distance.

"Ah so she's just slow, like always." The young girl giggled. I sat up and saw I was laying in a great field, the plans stretched on for miles. Three women stood near me and wore white robes.

"Where am I?" My voice was raspy, as if I was waking from an endless dream.

"She still doesn't remember." The middle age women glared.

"What is your name?" The older one asked. Her face gave off an anxious feeling, like my answer would ease her mind.

"Magdalena." I whispered yet they all heard. Turning inward the women whispered to each other.

I looked around again and couldn't see anything besides grass. The cloudless sky seemed eerie now. Looking down at myself I seemed unharmed even though I remembered all the pain I had endured moments ago.

"Magdalena." The old women began to walk closer. "We have no control over your rebirth. It is and has always been inevitable." She knelt down and grabbed my hand.

"I don't understand." I gave a pleading look. "I died, didn't I."

"Yes." The middle age women placed her hand on the older women's shoulder.

"Don't be frightened!" The little girl skipped over. "This happens a lot." The older women glared at the little girl. They seemed like family.

"Is my family okay?" I reached up to wipe the tear away.

"You are the first to arrive." The older women helped me to my feet. "There is something my sisters and I have come to discuss with you."

The green fields seemed to vanish and almost by magic we were in a temple. Pillars stood on all sides and a hearth sat in the middle. Cushions surrounded the fire and the women descended on the seats, waving me to follow. I did as was instructed and sat with them.

"We are tired of watching you suffer child." The old women had a tea cup and started sipping. I didn't see a tea set anywhere but this was far from the strangest thing I've seen so far.

"You are cursed." The middle age women spoke as she too sipped from a tea cup.

"Cursed?" I shook my head. "What does that mean?"

"You know what it means child." The old women shook her head.

"But how?"

"Your sister cursed you." The young girl was playing with the threads of a cushion but answered me anyway.

"Anna would never-

"Your first sister." They all said at the same time. It seemed in that moment the sun vanished and the void was my world again.

Flashes of light and memories that weren't mine flew by. Catching glimpses I saw a women knight fighting in a battle, the next was a peasant girl dying from the plague, another of a beautiful women draped in vines and making love to a man in a garden.

Soon the flashes slowed down until one memory took hold. This memory was drenched in blood and entering into it felt like my whole body would burst into flashes. This memory was too painful and too long ago. It didn't want me there and it refused me entry.

"Enough!" I was panting and curled into myself.

"Heal her sister."' The young girl chided.

"You cannot heal from memories. Enough of this." A warm blanket was placed on top of me. "You cannot stay here but we refuse to send you into a new life just to forget. You have suffered too long."

"We are of one mind with this decision and all others." I sat up and saw the determined look on there faces.

"I still don't understand. Who are you? Why is this happening?"

They again shook their heads and began to speak as one. "We cannot give you all the answers but they will come, When you are reborn you will have the memories of this past life. You will grow and slowly remember who you are." The women stood and the temple shifted again until we were standing on a marble platform and a gate of pillars stood.  "You and others have been cursed. This curse has shifted the power of fate and we can not stand by idling any longer. Break this curse for yourself and the others. We can only guide you so far." The gates began to part and a blinding bright light shown through. "We are sending you to the world in which you hold power again. You will not be alone."

"Wait I still don-

A wind swept over the platform and threw me into the gates.

"Find your family." The little girls voice seemed to whisper in my ear as I was pulled into the void once again.
