After packing up, Marcy took a little break, she looked at her computer and she received an email from Japan, as she reads it she grinned and went out of her room and went down,
"Gladys! Gladys! I have something to tell you!" Marcy said,
"What is it?"
"Instead of us going there, they'll be the ones who will come here instead!" Marcy said, Gladys laughed,
"Thank God!" she said, while Marcy and Gladys were talking, Jared's phone rang and then he went outside and answered it, Marcy secretly listened, then, after, she went back inside, so did Jared,
"So...who was that?" Marcy asked,
"It's just someone..." Jared said, he placed his phone down and sat on the couch, he opened a magazine, Marcy sat down opposite to him, she quickly snatched his phone then running outside to the back porch, she opened the call log,
"M-MICHELLE?!" Marcy said, Jared chased her and snatched the phone from her hands, Marcy stood still, she went to her room and changed then she went out,
Gladys went down to cook their lunch and noticed that Marcy wasn't there,
"Red, where's Marcy?" she asked,
"She went out..." Red said,
Meanwhile, Marcy was in the city, stopping by at a near-by cafe, she looked around her and suddenly saw Michelle far right from her, she stood up and sat down opposite from her,
"Oh...it's just you...I thought it was someone else..." Michelle said,
"I'll cut to the chase, what's going on with you and Jared?" Marcy asked, Michelle laughed,
"What are you talking about? You know that I'm already engaged! Come on! Maybe you're mistaken!"
"For proof, may I borrow your phone?" Marcy asked, Michelle handed her phone over to her, Marcy checked the call log, Jared 's name wasn't there, then she gave it back to Michelle,
"Maybe you deleted it..." Marcy said,
"Oh, come on, even if Jared called me, he should have told you and I should have visited you...you're acting strange...could it be?" Michelle said,
"If you're thinking that I like him, it's just partial" Marcy said, Michelle laughed,
"I can't believe this!" she said, her phone rang and received a message,
"Well then, this is good bye!" Michelle said, she stood up and looked up,
"I hope you brought an umbrella...it seems that it'll rain soon" Michelle said, Marcy nodded,
Michelle left and Marcy finished her coffee, shortly after, she stood up and returned to her house,
On her way, it seemed that rain quickly poured down, her jacket didn't have a hood, so she just ran and stopped to every shade that she could stand,
"So...I'll just cross this road, go straight, stop then go again then viola! I'm home..." she said to her self, as the light turns green, she crossed half way to the other side of the road, she suddenly saw Jared holding an umbrella, they made a long eye contact together, Marcy crossed the road and joined Jared under the umbrella, Marcy pushed Jared a little then she laughed, afterwhich, they walked home,
On their way, Marcy got ashamed of what happened just hours ago, she kept on looking at Jared,
"Hey...a-about, what happened...I'm sorry...I thought that Michelle on your phone was Michelle Palmer...so..." Marcy said,
"The one who called on my phone was my cousin, it was just a coincidence that she and Michelle have the same spelling of names...and...you worried that me and Palmer have a relationship?" Jared said,
"W-what are you talking about? Just today...I talked to Michelle..."
"Oh really? What if I was hiding something from you? Like, for example, I have a girlfriend but I'm not telling you..." Red said, Marcy laughed,
"You can't hide anything from me...I know that you're still single, remember, I didn't even gave you a proper reply" she said, Jared laughed,
"Now we're even!" he said,
"But...today...with you...feels different..." Marcy said,
"Hmm? what was that?" Jared asked,
"A-ah, I was just talking to myself!"
"No...Just joking, I heard you say something! I think it went...with you being with me...feels like?, come on, I heard you say that!"
Marcy laughed,
Reaching the house, half drenched, Marcy went to her room to take a bath, same goes with Jared,
"Thank God, I thought those two were going together..." she said, she sighed and went out of the shower, she then put on her clothes and went out,
She went to the living room to join Gladys and the others,
"Will this rain go forever?" Marcy said, Gladys laughed,
"I hope not..."
"Oh yeah...what if flights to New York are cancelled, wouldn't that delay your wedding?" Marcy said,
"It is bad...and we have to go to our parents house..."
"This rain is troublesome...what if this goes on...for a week...or for a month..."
A troublesome rainy afternoon wrecked their plan in the wedding...
