3 weeks had gone...a seemingly hot morning came, Marcy got a call from her boss, she just put on a jacket and went outside, Gladys and Richard weren't awake yet,
While at the site, her boss apologized because he called too early,
"Rhodes, thanks for your help, your designs are unique, thank you really...now, take this" he said, Marcelline took the paper,
"Thank you sir, I hope you'll hire me again someday...I'll be taking my leave now" Marcy said, her boss smiled and nodded, she then went back to the villa, Gladys was already awake,
"Gladys, I had enough of Paris, let's go back to New York" Marcy said, Gladys was surprised,
"Go back already? How about Red? Maybe he's still here in Paris...he could be anywhere around the city!" Gladys said,
"No, I got the feeling that he went back to New York...or if not, with Sam..." Marcy said,
Marcy went to her room and packed up then took a bath and put on her clothes, Gladys followed after,
"Marcy...did Red confess to you?" Gladys asked, Marcy nodded,
The three went to the airport, while there, Marcy thought of finding Jared by herself, she was sure that she can do this,
As they boarded on the plane they saw Michelle, Carey and Brandy walking together as always, but they didn't notice Marcy and Gladys,
"Marcy...I'm scared..." Gladys whispered,
"What are you talking about? We'll be sitting in the VIP section" Marcy said, Gladys sighed,
"Don't worry, they couldn't afford it" Marcy joked,
The plane now flew to New York, on the departure area, Gladys went on ahead while Marcy seized her time in going home to Manhattan,
On her way, she held out her phone and tried to call Jared, at first there was no answer, then the second time she called, there was still no answer, until not a minute passed, her phone rang,
"Hello? Jared! I need to tell you something about that time...you see my reply is..." Marcy stopped,
"Marcy..." Jared said,
"Where are you? you sound worried..." Marcy said,
"I just miss you that's all, I feel ashamed that I said what I feel about you at the wrong time..."
"Why are you saying that? It's great that you said it, if it's too late...you can't really do something about it"
"You're right...how are you? are you still in Paris?"
"No, not anymore, work finished off early...I'm in New York...going to my house..."
"Oh...I'll be over there at the evening..."
"Wait Red...where are you?"
"I'll tell you when I go there"
"Okay then...bye"
Marcy turned her phone off, as she was heading for manhattan,
Afternoon came, Glayds and Richard came over her house,
"MARCY!" Gladys shouted, Marcy opened the door, she looked like she just woke up,
"Gladys...why are you here?" Marcy asked,
"I just wanted to know how are you and Red are developing..."
"Oh, come on, we're just friends..."
"BEST friends" Gladys said,
"Are you coming inside or not?"
"You know we've been friends since childhood" Gladys said,
Midafternoon came, Marcy was in her work room, creating some designs that she could show in the time she will be hired, Gladys came inside and sat down beside her, she got amazed by what she was doing, then after a while, Gladys went out and stared at her wall clock,
"I'll be making dinner" Gladys said,
"Ah...Red will be here...later this evening..." Marcy said,
"I know...he said it to me, and probably to the others...hehehe" Gladys said, Marcy sighed and both of them laughed,
Later on, Marcy organized her things and went to the living room, she saw Richard standing by the window and kept on looking behind him, Marcy approached him,
"Rich...you seem you can't calm down...is there something bothering you?" Marcy asked, Richard sat down on the couch,
"Don't tell this to Gladys..." he said, he brought out something from his pocket, Marcy was amazed,
"Are you going to ask Gladys...? To... marry you?" Marcy asked, Richard nodded,
"Please don't tell her...I'm nervous...I was supposing to tell her this today" Richard said, Marcy laughed,
"You decide on the right time...I'll just be waiting...just assign me as the bridesmaid" Marcy said, Richard nodded, she stood up and checked on Gladys,
Going in the kitchen, Marcy smelled something delicious, she quickly approached it and saw perfectly garnished food ready to serve, but Gladys wasn't there, Marcy tried to taste it but exactly, Gladys came and pinched Marcy's shoulder,
"What do you think you're doing?" Gladys asked, Marcy got startled and then she laughed,
"Where were you?" Marcy asked,
"I unplugged my phone from charging...it was on my room..." Gladys said, Marcy clapped,
"Well then...shall we have dinner?" she said,
"No...we have to wait until 6 and besides, Jared isn't here...why don't you call him again?" Gladys said, Marcy searched in her pocket to see if her phone was with her but it wasn't, she passed by the living room and exactly, the doorbell rang, Richard stood up,
"Rich, I'll answer it" Marcy said,
She went to the door and opened it,
"Good evening..." Jared said,
"H-hi..." Marcy said,
From that on, Marcy's evening got a little bit interesting...
