FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE

PHASE 8: IS IT OR IS IT NOT?

Jared and Gladys were watching TV, Marcy was making some new ideas for her design, Richard was sleeping, Marcy's phone suddenly rang, she answered it and went to her room, afterwhich, going down well dressed,

"Marcy, where are you going? It's raining" Gladys said,

"I'm going to walk my designs" Marcy said, she went out quickly,

While Marcy was making her way through the rain, she had a hard time making her way to the meeting place, she had to bump some people just to get through, at first it was troublesome for Marcy but as the day goes on, the rain eventually stops, exactly with Marcy reaching the place,

A cold evening came, Marcy just got finished showing the designs, she went out of the building and noticed that the rain stopped, she would now hurry to the house, Jared suddenly was there, he approached Marcy,

"It took you until evening to finish?" Jared asked, Marcy giggled,

"It was kinda a board meeting...they kept on arguing...it seemed that they also hired another one...good thing that they chose mine!" she said, Jared laughed,

"Come on, let's go home, I'm starving" Marcy said,

As the two walked together, they talked about random things, the atmosphere was like the two are already couples, not a minute passed, Marcy noticed this but she didn't mind it, realizing that she has feelings for Jared, the reason why she couldn't tell to him because she was waiting for the right opportunity, Jared already knew this since the rain came,

A little silence had occured for a little while, while passing by some people, until a lady waved at Jared, Marcy suspected that lady,

"Do you know her?" Marcy asked,

"A trainee back at the bakery" Jared replied, Marcy hummed,

"I was the one who taught her how everything goes at the bakery while the manager was out...it seems that this is her day off..."

"Really..."

"Do you want to stop by there?" Jared asked, Marcy nodded,

They went to the subway station, to get there,

While in the train, Marcy was happy, not just because she was seating beside Jared, but because of being with him, it was enough for Marcy,

The first stop of the train, Jared stood up and grabbed Marcy's hand,

"Come on, I want you to taste the pastries" he said, Marcy just smiled, she looked at her hand,

"His hand is always warm..." she said to herself,

The two were running, Marcy was catching her breath, Jared let go of her hand, then looked at her,

"I'm sorry, I wouldn't want to disappoint you, the bakery might close...and" Jared said,

"Don't worry, it's not like that the bakery will close forever, it's fine..." Marcy said, Jared smiled,

Some hours passed they reached the bakery, just exactly, the place was still open but it seemed that all of the costumers left,

Having reached the place, Marcy looked at the appealing designs of the cakes displayed, an old looking guy appears at the cashier,

"Oh my, is that you Jared?" he asked,

"It's great that you still remember me Mr. Walter" Jared said, they shook hands, Walter looked at Marcy,

"Jared is this your girlfriend?" he whispered,

"She's my best friend, sir"

"Oh...she looks familiar with Mr. Rhodes"

"Well sir, her father is Mr. Rhodes" Jared said, Walter was surprised, he approached Marcy,
