cruel summer

WATERPARK

The summer days were getting hot. Everyone in the valley knew it. So what better place to go than the water park? Moon had invited everyone to go to the water park.  Even Y/n. Moon knew she and Sam were in a rough spot but she hoped they could try and fix it. Y/n had agreed to go because Demetri said he was able to go. But at the last minute, he let them know he wasn't gonna make it.

So here she was standing at the entrance with Eli and Miguel. "Are you sure you guys wanna do this? I mean Sam's gonna be here and the both of you are kind uh..." Eli trailed off "We're staying as friends, dude. It'll be fine" Miguel sighed. "What about you?" Eli looked at the h/c. "I, uh—" Y/n said as her eyes caught a glimpse of Andy talking to one of the cobras. "—I'll stick with Robby. He's coming" Y/n half-lied. "With Keene?" Eli furrowed his eyebrows "I don't wanna get into a bigger fight than I already am with Sam" Y/n crossed her arms.

"Let's just go inside, yeah?" Y/n sighed. Eli nodded and began walking with Miguel. Y/n following behind.
"Hey, babe" Eli called out to Moon.

Sam looked away from Moon and to Miguel and Y/n. "Oh, I totally forgot that they were coming" Moon turned to Sam. Sam watched as Y/n said something to the two boys and walked in a different direction. Still listening to Moon she watched as Y/n disappeared into the crowd.

Y/n spotted Andy and quickly made her way up to him. "Look who it is," Andy said as she made her way over to him. The other Cobra Kai's left Andy going over to Kyler instead. "I see you've got them wrapped around your finger" Y/n retorted. "Seriously?" Andy rolled his eyes. "Anyways, how have you been? Considering you haven't come back. Everyone was asking about you." Andy crossed his arms.

"I couldn't tell them you went back to Demetrio" Andy added "It's Demetri" y/n corrected. "For the record, I didn't just leave for Demetri. I just don't think I can go back to Cobra Kai. Not after..., you know what" Y/n said. Andy nodded "I guess I understand. I mean everyone kinda figured out after you brought the trophy when we weren't around"

"Kenny's the only one that's not convinced you and Robby are leaving." Andy chuckled. "We'll if it isn't the girl who leaves her dojo after winning the tournament" Someone mocked behind them.

'What kind of shit talk is that?' Y/n thought.

Turing their heads Amelia approached them. Her hand was on her hip as she approached them. "Where have you been? You win and then you just dip? What kind of move is that? It's kind of pathetic, honestly"

Y/n rolled her eyes "If it isn't the girl who I beat at the tournament" Y/n replied. "I know you think you're the shit because you won a trophy, but guess what? You're not." Amelia crossed her arms. "If that's what you think then you're completely wrong. That's not why I'm not going back." said y/n. "You saw your poor little boyfriend all sad and you just couldn't take it. So you left Cobra Kai, huh?" Amelia smirked. Y/n hands turned into firsts.

"You figured out you couldn't have him so you left Miyagi-Do, huh?" Y/n crossed her arms. "Amelia!" Kyler called out. "I guess that's your cue to leave" Said Y/n. "This won't be over, LaRusso" Amelia claimed before walking off. "God, she's annoying" Y/n rubbed her temples. "Tell me about it. She's trying to get back with me 'cause she figured out we're not a thing" Andy groaned. "Of course, she is" Y/n rolled her eyes.

Kenny, Kyler, Amelia, Devon, Bert, and Mitch began to argue causing y/n to look over at them. They began to push each other shouting at each other. "Seriously" Y/n sighed as she made her way up to them. Tory and Robby did the same. Y/n pushed back Devon, Bert, and Mitch "Guys stop" Y/n shouted. "We've been waiting all day to ride the double dragon!" Mitch and Devon shouted. "Okay, I get it but—" Mitch tried shoving her. "Hey, chill," Andy warned him as he walked up to everyone. "You wanna go?" Mitch threatened.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Miguel shouted "you stay out of this" Robby replied. A lifeguard came up to them bowling his whistle "Stop it. All of you. Or you're all getting kicked out" he warned before walking away.

"Okay. Clearly, we can't coexist in peace, so let's find a solution," said Miguel. "We can't fight. What are we supposed to do?" Mitch asked, "we have to go," Robby said to Tory "no" she replied. "How about a race?" Bert suggested "yeah, I'll go," said Eli. "So will i" Tory replied. "Alright!" Kyler cheered "whoever wins gets the park." Tory added. "Deal. But you won't win" Eli smirked.

Everyone walked away. Well almost everyone. Robby and Y/n looked at each other. Robby ran his hand through his hair "this is so stupid" Y/n muttered. "Yep," Robby replied. "Have you told Kenny—"Y/n began "That I'm not going back? No." Robby finished. "What about you?" Robby asked "No. We really should." Y/n said. Robby agreed and the two looked for Kenny.

Kenny handed Tory and Eli their pool floats. Y/n and Robby approached him "Kenny" Robby called out "guys, what's up?" He answered "hey," said Y/n. "Can we talk?" The h/c haired girl asked "Yeah, yeah. Hey, uh, you guys haven't been back to the dojo. There's a rumor that you're quitting—" Robby cut Kenny off "it's true." He said simply.

"What?" Kenny furrowed his eyebrows. "We know you're in Cobra Kai because of us. We thought it would help you." Robby started to explain "It did" Kenny interrupted "we know that's what you think," Y/n said "but you have to trust us" Y/n added. "It'll turn you into someone you don't wanna be," said Robby "it's what happened to us"

"I didn't want to hurt you at the tournament. That's what Cobra Kai makes you do" Robby continued "Nah, I'm glad you didn't hold back. I needed that" Kenny claimed "No, Kenny. I have been down this path" Robby stepped closer "back off!" Kenny shoved him away. "Before Cobra Kai, I used to get picked on. Now I'm stronger than I've ever been. I'm never quitting because I'm not a quitter." Said Kenny. Kenny shook his head at them as he walked past them. "That went great" Y/n ran her hand through her hair.

The two walked back to where Tory and Eli would come out of the slides only to see Eli and Kenny fighting. Robby moved quickly and shoved Eli into the water. "Hey!" Miguel shouted pushing Robby. "Watch yourself" Miguel warned, "you wanna go?" Robby glared. "Guys..." Y/n warned as the same lifeguard walked up to them blowing his whistle once again.

He moved Miguel and Robby away from each other getting in between them "Hey. Everybody get out and leave the park immediately. I mean it. Everybody out now." He ordered.

"Way to go, LaPusso" Amelia shoved past her. Y/n grabbed her stuff and walked out of the water park. Y/n could tell that Amelia was trying to get her to fight her. If y/n was being honest she wanted to give in. But that would go against everything She and Robby told Kenny.

As she made it to the parking lot she scanned for Miguel and Eli. Nothing. Then Eli's car. Nothing. "Are you kidding me" Y/n grumbled. "Need a ride?" Andy asked. Y/n turned around to face him. "Yeah" she muttered.

The two went to Andy's car and got in. The ride to Y/n's house was quiet. Andy parked in front of Y/n's house. Y/n thanked him and got out. Andy waved before driving back.

Y/n walked into the house only to hear Amanda shouting at Daniel.

"Fine. Handle it! I won't be here for it."
"Where are you going?"
"Away from here. Away from you! I just need space. I'm taking the kids with me."

"Woah—Woah. Wait mom" Y/n quickly made intervened. Daniel looked at Y/n. Y/n followed after Amanda. "Mom. What are you doing?" Y/n asked. "I'm leaving. You better get ready too." She answered. "A-are you sure? Maybe you guys can work this out" Y/n said. "We can't work it out unless your dad works it out first," Amanda responded.

Y/n couldn't leave her dad alone. She knew he wouldn't be in the best condition. She could already tell. It wouldn't be a smart idea. "Maybe I should stay," Y/n said. "Stay? No, you're going." Amanda shook her head "You're trying to get away from the problems and karate right? Then maybe I shouldn't go unless you want me and Sam to break out into a fight" said Y/n.

Amanda looked at Y/n "I wanna make sure dad is alright. You take the time you need. I'll be watching him—and Chozen." y/n said. "Thanks, honey" Amanda pulled her into a tight hug.

"Of course" Y/n hugged back.
