GIVE UP

Amanda, Anthony, and Sam walked into the house. Y/n sat in the living room. She stood up as she heard them walk in. "Honey" Amanda approached her cupping her face "are you okay? Where's your father?" She asked "I'm okay—dads in your room" Y/n responded. Amanda nodded quickly and made her way to their bedroom, Anthony following along.

Sam stayed glancing over at Y/n "how's dad?" She spoke suddenly. Y/n looked at her and then down at her shoes "as good as someone can be after getting beat up" it went back to silence. "I'm sorry that was rude" Y/n apologized. "No, no. It's okay. I deserve it." Sam replied. Y/n looked back up at Sam. Sam looked at Y/n. "You know...you deserve an apology from me. After getting in a bar fight with mom and aunt Jessica—" Sam began.

"Bar fight?" Y/n raised her eyebrow. "Nothing too bad. That doesn't matter." Sam said "Anyways when I was with them and Anthony I realized how wrong I was. You're family, you're my sister. And I should always be looking out for you and be there for you. Clearly, I didn't do that. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when Demetri kissed Yasmine. I should've been comforting you instead of him."

"Because of me, you joined Cobra Kai. Though I will admit I'm a little mad about the tournament and the dojo. But you won fair and square. And if we find a way to shut down Cobra Kai, I guess I'll let it slide. So, what do you say? Sisters?" Sam held out her arms for a hug. Y/n cursed in her head 'damn it, Sam! Why would you do this to me?'

"Of course, sisters" Y/n smiled weakly and hugged Sam. Sam hugged back tightly. "Glad we're back"

A week passed and Daniel was almost done recovering. Though, he had given up.

Sam poured herself some cereal as Y/n sat beside her mother. Johnny and Chozen sat across from them "it's been a week. The longer we wait—"the blonde began "we must let Daniel-San heal." Chozen insisted. "Chozen's right. I wanna do something too, but we can't just go after Silver—" Amanda sided "Dad" said Sam.

Daniel walked into the kitchen wearing his suit and his eye was still pretty bruised "Johnny? What are you doing here?" Asked Daniel. "Figuring out how to make Silver pay for what he did to you" Johnny answered. "What's with the suit?" Asked Amanda "I can't wear my pijamas to LaRusso Auto, can I?" Daniel retorted.

"You're going to work?" Y/n asked "Daniel-San, we need to make plans—" Chozen began "guys, I appreciate the sentiment. I do. But I'm out of this thing with Silver. If he wins the Valley, he can have it." Daniel grabbed a coffee cup "I'm done with karate" Daniel claimed, "what do you mean you're done with karate?" Johnny asked.

"Must not give up." Chozen tried to encourage. "I am giving up. Trying to go toe-to-toe with Silver was a mistake. It almost cost me my family." Daniel motioned to Sam and Y/n. "I'm not making that mistake again."

"Daniel, we're with you." Amanda reassured, "you don't have to stop fighting." Daniel turned to Amanda "yes. I do. I became a sensei to help kids. Instead, I'm making everyone's life worse." Johnny furrowed his eyebrows "what are you talking about? You did help kids." Said Johnny. "Want me to make a list of how many ways they're hurting because of this, including my daughters?" Daniel replied.

"Ask Robby how much I've helped him" Daniel added. Johnny sighed. "You know, growing up, I never understood why Mr.Miyagi walked away from a fight. But I understand now. It's not our job to fight the monsters of the world. Not anymore" Daniel pulled out his sunglasses and put them on before heading out.
