The Royal Proclamation 🍎

I don't know why, but when I dream. I always see a boy with long brown hair. By the outline of his body, I can tell he has impressive muscle strength. I watch him as he comes closer to me, I see that he is talking to me. The closer he gets, the closer I get to see who this is. He was almost in front of me when I heard a loud noise waking me up.

I groan and sit up wondering where it came from. The sound went off again, I turn my head towards the door of my bedroom and realized someone was knocking on it. I slowly got out of bed and walked to the door. I opened it to narrowing my eyes at my twin brother Ben. He gives me a huge smile, laughs and says "well good morning to you too!"  and I groan and open the door wider to let him in.

He walks towards my bed and gets on his side. I walk back to the bed after closing the door and got underneath my covers, we've done this since we were little. It might be strange, but we are very close as siblings. He's my best friend, my number one fan and I am his. I felt something move and snuggle up against me. It was my Australian Shepard puppy Petal. I wrap my arm around her and snuggle closer to her. I look up at Ben to see that he's looking at me with a worried smile.

"Ok big bro spit it out, what had got you worried?" He looks down at his fingers fiddling with them. I put my hand over his. "You can tell me Ben, you know that."

He takes a big breath in and breathes out. "I've have my first official proclamation in mind and as my queen you are going to be the first to hear it." A huge smile comes to my face. "Okay! Let's hear it then!"

He look at me and says " have you ever looked toward the isle and felt like something different could be done? I've chosen my first proclamation to give four kids from the isle to have a chance to live here in Auradon... to be given a chance to go to school here at Auardon Prep."

I slowly sit up in bed and turn towards him. "Ben I think that's a wonderful idea! How are you going to tell mom and dad?"

"Well that's where you come in. Can you please be there with me today when I get my measurements done? They are supposed to meet me there to hear about it."

"Of course I will! Now leave so I can get ready! I'll be in your room in an hour." He kisses my forehead, says thank you and walks out. I get up from bed and grab my yellow shorts, my blue t-shirt, and white sandals. I put my hair up in a pony tail and tie my red ribbon as my finishing touch.

Petal and I leave my room to go to Ben's, when I get there he's getting measured, staring out at the isle of the lost. I watch as Lumiere, who was doing his measurements turned his head around and said "sleeve, head, aha!"  I giggle and start walking towards the chair in my brothers room, I grab one of the books off his shelf and start reading it. The book I have is one of many that he has just for me, I'm currently reading our parents love story, I just love it so much!

There's a knock on the door, I watch as our parents walk in. Belle and Adam, beauty and the beast, the king and queen of Auardon. Dad starts talking as he walks in behind mom. "How is it possible that you both are going to be crowned king and queen next month? Your just babies!" I giggle and put down my book, still having petal in my lap. Ben and I both say hello to them.

"They are turning 16 dear." Mom said to dad with a smile with a light pat to his chest.

"16? That's far too young to be crowned king and queen. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42." He told us. Mom stopped beside dad holding a jacket that belonged to my brother. "Uh you decided to marry me at 28." She told him with a scoff.

"It was you or the tea pot" dad told mom while sending a wink our way. When he saw the look on moms face he quickly told her "kidding". Ben and I look to each other and laughed.

When our parents were done talking at least for that moment, Ben was quick to speak up before his nerves got the best of him. "Mom..Dad..." he stared as he tried to step down from the stool. Lumiere made a noise that sounded like "ah! Nm-nnhn" so Ben stopped moving and stayed on the stool.

"I've chosen my first official proclamation." He told them, our parents looked at each other with happiness in their eyes knowing that they done something right. They were proud that he already has a proclamation. You might be confused on why he says he. Well we both decided that we are both going to give each other ideas for proclamations, but we will both have to agree on it like we did this one. When it's either of our idea the one who said it gets to claim it and tell our parents and to be honest I'm happy this one wasn't mine. I'm worried to see their reactions.

"I've decided... we'll we have decided that the children of the isle of the lost should be given a chance.. to live here in Auradon." I hold my breath on their reactions. They are both shocked. Mom dropped his jacket that she was holding with her mouth opened slightly. Well dad just stared at him with disapproving eyes.

Ben and I both looked at each other with worried looks and looked back at our parents. "Every time I look out at the island I feel like they've been abandoned." He continued stepping off the stool and heading to stand in front of our parents.

"The children of our sworn enemies?! living among us!?" I wince as our father asks not even believing what he had just announced. He didn't expect that from them, not now.. not ever.

"We start out with a few at first." Ben stated "only the ones who need our help the most... we've already chosen them." Our mother was not as against the idea as dad was, but dad was the one that put them there.

"Have you?" Dad asked, we could tell by his voice that he was slightly angry and upset, but he didn't say anything. Before he could say anything else mom touched his arm. "I gave you a second chance." She told dad, dad stopped and didn't say anything. She then turned to Ben."Who are their parents dear?"

Ben nervously looked at them and then back at me. I smile and give him a thumbs up. " Cruella DeVil, Jafar, the Evil Queen, and Maleficent."

"Ah!" Lumiere gasped when he heard maleficent's name. "Maleficent!?!? She's the worst villain in the land!" My father yelled getting angry that we would even suggest having her kid come over to the land of goodness. " Dad just hear me out.." Ben trailed off but our dad cut him off in and angry manner. " I won't hear of it! They are guilty of unspeakable crimes!" Our father yelled not even wanting to talk about this topic. But Ben wasn't going to let our first proclamation get defeated.

"Dad their children are innocent." He told dad looking straight at him. "Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life?" He asked our father "dad...?"

My mother stood watching her two favorite boys talk about this. Dad then looked to her, he could see the hope glistening in her eyes. "I suppose their children are innocent." Dad sighed, realizing he was judging the kids with out even knowing them. He then turned to walk towards the door.

Mom stepped in front of Ben "well, well done." She told him while fixing his suit. Ben then gave mom a thankful smile which she returned. Mom then turned and walked back towards our dad who was standing in front of the door. "Shall we?" She asks slipping her hand through the crook of his arm, then they both walked out of the room.

Ben then glances my way with a huge smile. I give him an even bigger one. "You did it Benny!" I walk up and hug him around his torso, he hugs me around my waist. "I couldn't of had done it with out you sis! Thank you for being my future queen and my support system. I couldn't of asked for a better partner in crime." I smile up to him and give him a kiss on the cheek "I gotta go let petal outside, meet up with me when your done ok!" He nods his head giving me a kiss on the forehead as I walk out.

Ben couldn't help but turn around and look toward the isle. Soon he'll have four kids in Auardon that no one will ever suspect.
