As Robby began to open his eyes he frown slightly as he woke up cold and alone in the bed which had previously had Brooklyn heating it. Yet no sooner had it come it had gone as the smell of freshly cooked pancakes reached his nose, making him smile. His curiosity getting the better of him he left the small bedroom to see the sight of Brooklyn with her hair in a high messy bun, flour scattered on her face and an oversized t-shirt of his with only a short pair of pyjama shorts on underneath. As she turned around with a sheepish smile on her face and a steaming stack of pancakes in her hands Robby thought he could get used to waking up like this.
"Morning, I didn't want to wake you so I went out to restock the cupboards with food and made breakfast," Brooklyn said with a smile.
"thanks," Robby said slightly stunned "this looks amazing!"
"I hoped that you'd like it, can't go wrong with pancakes" she said with a hopeful gleam in her eyes which made him smile and agree while taking the pancakes to sit down taking her with him.
"Those were really good Brooklyn!" Robby exclaimed after they had both had their fill.
"Thanks, I'm glad that you liked them," she said "I'm going to get dressed and then we can decide a way to pass the time." And with that she got up and went off. a few minutes later she came back out fully dressed with her hair now down and resting on her shoulders.[outfit below]
"So," she started while Robby tried not to be caught staring as he admired her beauty, "What are we going to get up too?"
"Well I was thinking about going to visit my mum. She's at this fancy retreat for rehab as she wants to stop taking drugs and alcohol so that we can live a better life." he opened up surprising even himself at how much he trusted her.
"Oh ok, that's really great I'll come with you. Your mum sounds like she's a good person who was in a bad situation." Brooklyn replied trying to push the thought of how her own mum refused to stop drinking no matter how much she begged to the back of her mind.
"Really, you don't think bad of her?" he questioned rather taken aback by her response.
"Ofcourse not! She's getting help and looking out for her son that's a lot more than most alcoholic parents" she replied sounded more sadder than she had before. But Robby decided not to question her.
"Okay then we'll go together. I think that my mum will love you" Robby replied a genuine smile on his face, brightening up Brooklyn's mood instantly.
"Well what are we waiting for then, come on!" And with that they set off hand in hand to visit Robby's mum, not realising what problems awaited them.
