"Phenomenal Man, Phenomenally"

It was another day. Dess listened to music while she walked to her first class. Her day was easy with only three classes. Later, she had cheerleading tryouts and the rest of the day was hers. She woke up with a smile on her face, happy for what's to come. She practiced the cheers sunup and sundown, making sure she got them right. She wanted to be perfect and maybe even show out. She hope with all this hard work she get a spot on the team. That's all she wanted.

As she made her way to the English building, she recorded herself for her morning social media post. She had developed a regimen during the summer where she did an outfit check for whenever she went out. She called it DessWears and had close to sixty active people watching, liking, and commenting on her posts. She switched it up from time to time. Going from pics to videos to both. Whatever she was in the mood for, that's what she posted.

Always, she gave the stores where she shopped at and got the clothes from. A few people here or there actually went and bought the clothes, and tag her in their posts. Knowing that people liked her outfits and even wore them made her happy. Today's outfit inspiration was school girl. She wore a green sweater vest, a black mini pleated skirt that screamed youthfulness, and black stockings with green sparkles. Green converses on her feet, a few bracelets with emeralds on it, and her necklace with her name on it.

She kept the makeup light with lipgloss and an emerald green smokey eye. She recorded her whole outfit from head to toe before ending the video. She made sure to edit the video later since she was in a time crunch. Finally reaching the English building, she walked inside and down the hall. She had Professor Herbert for Honors English I. Though, not a everyone liked Herbert, Dess did. She was used to teachers like him. The ones who was serious about their work. The same ones who wanted to see their students prosper, but had a weird way of showing and expressing it.

She never took offense to anything he said or done. Others in her class have. She remembered the first day when Herbert mentioned them taking a test and three students got up and walked out. Since walking out was normal in college, Herbert didn't even care. He continued with his statement and the test. Dess ended up passing with a 90.3%. It was the best score she ever received on a test she hadn't studied for.

When she reached the classroom, she saw her classmates standing in front of the door. A lot of them were engaged in conversation with one another. She found a spot on the wall and leaned on it. Class started in less than ten minutes, so they were just waiting for Herbert. She knew deep down her classmates didn't want him to show up. If Herbert, or any professor at that, didn't arrive to class on time, students had the right to leave and not be penalized. A few kids were already starting to leave. Dess decided to wait it out for a while. She went on her phone and took the time to edit her video a little.

Though her music was playing in her ears, she was still able to hear the conversations of the others. They were speaking loud, especially the group of girls standing in front of her. While she edited, she couldn't help but overhear their conversation. It was spicy.

"I don't even know why you went out with him in the first place." one girl spoke to the other.

"Yeah, that a straight up lose foreal." another girl said. "And you didn't even get to second base? Yeah, no."
