"Ashley's Fears"{Praying by Keisha}
Trapped. To prevent someone or something from escaping.
Escape. To break freak from confinement or control.
Confinement. The action of being confined.
All three words relating to one another in such a disgusting and devastating way. She felt trapped in this uncomfortable confinement. She dreamed of escaping but surely enough that was not going to happen. She kicked and screamed as she tried coming up from the boys tight grip on her wrists. Her strength compared to theirs was nowhere near the same. She couldn't even lift a single finger in order to get him off her. It was pointless, but she kept trying just because she refused to be a victim.
She screamed and kicked more. Still there was nothing to stop it. After the intense struggle that lasted ten minutes, her jeans were taken off roughly. The laughter of the boys got louder then a whole bunch of talking occurred. She had zoned out, so she was unable to hear what they were saying. Her eyes were shut, beads of tears cascading down her cheeks. The last thing she wanted to hear or see was what was happening to her. If she would've kept her mouth shut then maybe she wouldn't be in this predicament. Just maybe.
It didn't matter though since the damage was already done.
Ashley sat in front of her mirror staring at her reflection. She had been sitting here for more than an hour while Praying by Keisha played on constant repeat. It was something about the lyrics that had her stuck. Stuck on what had happened last night. It wasn't only the song that kept her there too but the clothes she was still in. Her bloody blue jeans and her ripped white shirt. She had yet to take a shower but why should she when all the evidence was on her still.
The music began to drown out while Ashley continued staring at herself in the mirror. She had been debating on what to do next. Tell someone? She tried exposing these boys but only received hate from it. It was the reason behind the rape in the first place. So, telling someone was out of the question. Keeping it to herself was the better option in her opinion and that was what she was going to do. With the music being cut off, Ashley came out of her deep thoughts. She turned her attention away from the mirror in search for her ringing phone.
Moving her stuff around off the ground, she found her phone underneath her jacket. She picked it up and saw that it was her mother calling. She blew out a breath then picked up the phone.
"Hi, mom." Ashley quietly answered after putting her mom on speaker.
"Hi, ladybug!" Kim exclaimed in the phone. Ashley tuck in her lips at her mothers yelling. She wasn't in the mood to hear all of that but couldn't tell her that.
