Chip continues to observe the image of what has become of Dale. A being between 2D and 3D visibly without humanity who works totally on instinct. And given what the Magnelectrifier, aka Dale, told him, his only goal now was to revive the Rescue Rangers! Except that his instability caused him to hurt anyone he came near. Chip couldn't believe Dale was doing this on his own! His friend was kindness itself! He was even too nice sometimes...

« So Powell knew who had been attacking people for a week! » Ellie is indignant, pulling the chipmunk out of his thoughts. « And he didn't tell anyone! »
« Can you imagine the bad publicity for his clinic if we learn that he created a monster himself? » Miranda exclaims except that these words have the effect of a bomb in Chip's brain.
« DALE ISN'T A MONSTER!!! » he yells, startling the police who had forgotten him a little and his friends who are not used to hearing him yell like that. « He's a victim! He trusted Powell and Powell betrayed him! »
« I meant no harm, Chip...I just wanted to... » Bonkers' fiancée apologizes but...
« Then shut up! Don't talk about what you don't know! »
« Come on, Chip! » Monty is indignant as he joins his friend. « We know that what happened to Dale upsets you, but Miranda had nothing to do with it. »
Chip still looks furious...but he lets out a sobbing sigh as he throws himself into his friend's arms. Even the smell of his cologne brings him a certain comfort.
« Here, calm down. » the adventurer sighs, hugging the little insurer.
Gadget sighs, saddened to see her chipmunk friend in such a state, and turns to the young human.
« Sorry, Miranda. Chip is just... »
« No no, don't worry. » the concerned provides, a small smile on her face. « I chose my words poorly. »
« But you are right on one point, Mir'. » Bonkers sighs as Chip pulls away from Monty, wiping away tears that have begun to escape. « Powell did everything to cover up the affair so as not to tarnish his reputation. »
« And Dale's health in all this? » the little Ranger is indignant as he joins the bobcat. « I thought doctors took an oath to do everything to treat their patients! »
« Not the rotten ones like Powell. » Miranda sighs. « When we investigated him with Ellie, he made it clear to us that he had enough money to destroy any evidence we could find. »
« And for the millions he spends on his comfort and tranquility, he earns several more with his operations. » Ellie sighs as she sits down on a table. « He always makes sure to succeed those that bring him the most money or notoriety and drops those that have no interest for him. »
Chip feels like struck by lightning and feels anger boiling inside him. He knew that there were unscrupulous men in this far too dark world... but that there were among those who were supposed to heal and help them, it repulsed him and made him furious!
