Book 3 ~ The Puppet Master

1- The Darkest Black

"B- Blaze? Is that you?"

Everyone stared at Blaze, who was completely different.

His once red hair was now raven black, and his eyes had a small golden ring around them. He had fangs now, like the others, and his dopey smile had become a snarl.

"Blaze..." Amber whispered.

"What the hell did they do to you!?"

Advanta gave us a cold smile.

"He doesn't know you anymore," She said.

"I cleansed him of his humanity. He is a puppet now, and I'm pulling the strings."

Soul spoke up."His name is Kasai now." He said, then backed away from Advanta, as if anticipating something.

Advanta nodded, her smug look still plastered on the visible side of her face.

"Now, do you want to see how he kills?" She asked, and tapped something on her wrist.

Blaze's eyes glowed, then he stood in a death stance.He pulled a sword out from a sheath on his back. He then ran at us, and Gakupo barely had enough time to block his attack. I got a good look at Blaze's eyes. The fire that once burned so brightly in them was gone, replaced by cold. There was no soul, no piece of him left.

Stone grabbed Rose and ran for it, taking Breeze and Cursed with them.

I was ticked.

"Wake up, you idiot! WAKE UP!!!" I yelled.

Advanta howled with laughter as she watched.

"You will be eliminated," Blaze answered, and dove for my neck.Gakupo blocked his attack again, but could tell he was tiring.

And that was BAD.

I ran to help Stone with Breeze and Cursed when it happened.

Blaze was right in front of me, and his arm went right through Stone's chest and pulled out his heart.

Rose started to scream, and I watched as he fell to the ground, dead.

I grabbed Breeze and Cursed, and Rose began to change.

She grew taller; she ripped her pigtail bands off, and in less than a few seconds, she was my age.

She walked calmly over to Black.

She barely glanced at Blaze when he fell to the ground, rubbing his temples and moaning.

"You killed my only brother," Rose said to Black.

"Do you know what death feels like?" Rose asked eyes full of hatred, then thrust her fist into Black's chest and ripped out a metal heart.

"It felt like that," She spat.

Advanta then shimmered, and in her place was a robot.

I couldn't decide what was worse- the Advanta bot or poor little Rose who pulled out Advanta bots' heart.

"So sorry I couldn't be there in person."

Her voice echoed off everything; the walls, the floor, her body- there was no end to her.

"I leave it to my children to take care of you."

Blaze stood up, and his eyes turned black.

"Prepare to be eliminated," He repeated, and dove straight for me.

I closed my eyes, waiting for it to end, when I opened my eyes again.

My eyes went wide as I saw Sparrow block Blaze with Lightning in her sword form.

"Yeah, that's right," Sparrow spat at Blaze.

"We're traitors for her cause." She then pointed at me.

Blaze blinked slowly.

"What, don't you know who's stronger than you, or were you never programmed?" Sparrow chuckled.

"Typical, I bet you don't even who you are now or who you used to be." Sparrow whispered.

"You told us that no matter what you would never leave; that whatever happened we would always be friends!" Sparrow rored.

Sparrow gestured at us.

"I bet you told them the same empty promise!" Sparrow screamed, full hatred.

Wow.

It seems that everyone is angry today. I-I don't like it. It-it makes me feel... hatred, a very dangerously powerful emotion for me.

Gakupo who stood unmoving stole a glance at me, then he ever so silently walked toward me.

When he reached me he slowly pulled me into his protective embrace.

I didn't protest because this is definitely what I needed- otherwise things could have gone spiraling out of control.

Though I did steal a glance at my boyfriend before turning my attention back to Sparrow, who was now silently staring at Blaze.

Blaze seemed to take in what Sparrow just said looked only puzzled and confused.

I know how he must feel because I felt it too way back when I was being experimented on.

I sighed and hugged Gakupo tighter, who in return squeezed me too tight and kissed my forehead.

I know now isn't the time for me cuddling with my boyfriend but I really didn't care.

I just wish things could go back to the way they used to be, back when everything was quiet, when everyone got along, when Gakupo and I went on dates.

I wish I could just turn back the clock and relive those moments.
