18- The Black cage of Lies

"What the HELL was that, ROSE!!!" Amber screamed

I went over to protect her when Amber screamed

"Hey! It's not her fault she was just fighting back!" I yelled.

"Yeah but she didn't have to go that far!" Amber ragged

"Yeah, Well, Oh nevermind!" I really couldn't say anything else

"Just go check on Gakupo." Amber sighed

"Rose, just, go to your room, take a break for a while." Amber sighed

Rose just got up, kept her head down and sulked all the way to her room.

I went back to the living room where unconscious Gakupo lay.

I heard screams...

Soul's screams...

Yup he's dead.

I let out a sigh.

"Am I really that boring?" A familiar voice asked

I snapped my head around to come face to face with....

"Gakupo..." I sighed a sigh of relief

"Who else." He said with a wink

"Are you ok, because I vaguely remember Soul knocking me out..." He admitted

"Yeah I'm fine." I lied, not meeting his gaze

"Lily, look at me." He said

Before I could back away he caught my chin.

I got lost in his worried gaze.

"Lily." He soothed

Then I just couldn't take it anymore, and I jumped into his embrace.

"It's ok Lily, just tell me what's wrong." He said

"Soul, A-Amber got him and they are going to kill him!" I sobbed

"Wait what?" Gakupo asked

I just shook my head and held him tighter.

In return Gakupo held me tighter.

"Uh Lily..." A voice asked

I just glanced up from Gakupo's embrace

"What!" I shouted my voice muffled with tears.

"We aren't going to kill him." The voice soothed

It was Amber's voice, I recognized it when she kept talking

"Look, I know that I hate him, and the whole team hates him.." amber admitted

Good job Amber you are really helping Souls chances.

"But, you obviously don't, and... I....I Trust you Lily, and I trust your judgement. If you don't hate Soul, then it must be for a good reason." Amber sighed

I perked up

"Really?" I asked

"Really." Amber reassured

I finally relaxed in Gakupo's arms and placed my head on his shoulder.

In return Gakupo whispered quietly so only I heard him.

"See I told you it was all going to be okay." He whispered with a smile

And for once maybe it was.

Soul pov

After Amber, finally, untied me from my bonds, She told me " Not a word, not one."

Then let Rose guard me.

Good job Amber, just let the insane 9 year old guard me.

Rose just gave me a smile.

"Sorry... for almost killing you, by the way." She giggled

Man, that was one jacked up kid.

I shrugged.

"No proble, kid," I said.

I shuddered.

"Just... please, don't EVER do that again."

Rose giggled and blushed.

"Sorry. I won't," She said.

Then Lily walked in.

I jumped up and hugged that miserable angel.

"What the hell?!" I exclaimed.

"You left me... with that-"

I pointed to Rose.

"And she-"

I choked.

"What is it, boy? Spit it out..."

Shit.

The voice, HER voice, laughed coldly.

"Can't seem to get yourself to, I see? Well, the two of us are going to have SO much fun!"

Oh shit.

"Get out of my head!" I yelled, and swung my scythe up to my neck, ready to swing.

"That's right. Die. You have no purpose left..."

"Shut up," I growled.

She laughed again.

"Why? I'm having tons of fun! Are you?"

I spat on the ground and tossed my scythe away.

"No fucking way, you bastard," I hissed.

I turned toward Rose.

Poor kid. Advanta has been feeding off her for probably years.

I turned to the others.

"You guys trust me, right?" I asked.

Lily nodded.

"Yeah... why?"

I sighed.

"Because... well, just don't kill me for this," I said, and spoke that one dreaded word.

"Soul residence," I whispered.

I felt my form shifting, changing into a monster.

When I knew it was over, I turned to Rose, aka Black, and roared.

"Die!" I yelled, and charged her.

She dodged my attack and laughed.

"You'll have to do better than that, Soul Eater," She sneered.

I grinned.

"Oh, that was just a distraction to keep you busy."

I smiled.

"We have you right where we want you."

Her face went pale.

"We?"

"Scream resonate!"

She looked up to find Ed and Rin drop out of a portal and combine into one.

"DIE!" Sparrow yelled, and joined the fight.

She extended her hand, and a bolt of lighting appeared, along with Crow.

"Took you long enough," I teased and they joined the fight.

Against a deranged nine year old.
