27- The Light has Returned

I stood on the balcony of the house, holding a lily petal.

It had been six months since Lily died, and no one had moved on yet.

They always tried to cheer me up, but no one could replace her.

No one.

Amber was no longer her bossy self- instead, she hardly ever talked.

I sighed and looked at the petal in my hands.

"Hey, Gakupo!"

I turned and saw Seth behind me.

"It's kinda late. You should hop in bed," He said.

I shook my head.

"I never sleep." I said.

Seth sighed and walked back inside.

I gazed at the full moon.

"Why did you leave, Lily? I miss you..."

"You mean it? You're giving me a second chance?!" I exclaimed.

The figure nodded.

"Blaze and you will both have a second chance."

I saw Blaze materialize next to me.

"Man, are we gonna scare the hell out of them or what?" He said, grinning.

"Now, as the goddess of light, Lily, you will have unfathomable power."

I nodded.

The light turned to Blaze.

"As the god of life, Blaze, you will be able to give the dead a second chance.

Blaze nodded.

"Now, your friends are waiting."

I hugged her.

"I love you, mother," I whispered.

She smiled and kissed my cheek.

"As do I. Hurry, the full moon doesn't last forever."

Blaze turned to me and grinned.

"I'm going for the badass approach," He said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Go on, already!"

He faded into ash, and I shimmered and became lily petals.

"I'm coming, Gakupo..."

Tears dripped down my face.

"Lily! Lily..."

I collapsed onto my knees and cried.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned around to see a shower of petals.

I stared in wonder as lily petals drifted down and landed next to me.

"Lily..." I whispered.

The petals swirled around and then she was there, dressed in white, shining like an angel.

"Gakupo..." She whispered.

I ran to her and pulled my arms around her.

She hugged me back, and I kissed her, good and hard.

She didn't resist. What a surprise.

I heard screams of surprise and heard Blaze.

Amber was yelling at him, no doubt pulverizing him.

I broke away and grabbed her hand.

"Lily, I..."

I took a deep breath.

"Ever since I met you, I loved you. That was five years ago."

Lily nodded.

I dropped onto one knee and kissed her hand.

"I don't have a ring yet, but would you..."

"Marry me?"

A tear fell down her face, and she pulled me up to my feet.

"Yes."

It is now official. The end of the series!!!!!

Thank god. This actually took us two years to write, believe it or not.

YAY! OMG im sooooooo happy its over!!!!!
