(george's pov)

karl and i walk in the halls to class till we reach his class

"bye george, text me if you need anything!" karl says

"i will karl, bye!" i say, he nods and walks to class and i walk away to mine

i look down at the ground, not wanting to make eye contact with anyone

"hey george!" i hear a familiar voice say

i look up to see clay walking beside me "hello!" i say trying to sound normal

"how are you today?" he asks. it's funny because no one ever asks me that.

i look up at him and smile "i'm alright, thank you"

he smiles back at me "no worries" he says and we continue walking to class

while i was in class, trying my best not to fall asleep and actually learn something, i see clay slip a note to me

'georgeeee this is so boring :('

i smile and write back

'ikr im trying my best not to fall asleep lol'

'samee, tell me more about yourself i wanna get to know you better'

clay actually wants to me friends with me?

i look at him and smile then i start writing back

'im pretty boring but im george obviously im 18 i loveee music and smoking im colorblind i play minecraft i love going on walks i love cats i loveee hugs my favorite flowers are violets and uh idk what else lmao'

i give it to him but then take it back cause i forgot to write something

'oh and im also gay:)"

he laughs quietly at seeing what i wrote, writes something back, then hands it to me

'yeah idiot i saw your pin, im bi'

i laugh then look at him, he starts laughing aswell

"george and clay, please be quiet back there!" the teacher yells

he looks at me then back at the teacher "sorry, miss!" he says looking back at his desk

he starts writing and i just look at him admiringly he's so perfect.. what the fuck george, he sees you as just a friend stop ruining everything

he hands me back the note and i read it

'well im clay, im 18 i have a cat u should come meet her i play minecraft too omg i love roses im bi ofc and idk im a very boring person'

i read it with a smile on my face, then that smile slowly drops as i write something

'are we friends?'

he looks at me then writes back

'i mean if you you're okay with that then yes :)'
