"uno!" jeff yells

"what the fuck," i breathe out "that fast?"

"what can i say," he says "i'm a pro at uno"

"okay okay" i say as i put down another card

"hah!" i says putting down his last card "i won!"

"george don't get your hopes up," gabby says with a jokingly sad voice "he never loses"

"i warned you" jeff says laughing

the whole room suddenly goes silent and jeff looks at my sister, she nods at him

"george, we have some news for you" she says holding her fiance's hand

i look at them with a concerned look and they smile

"we're moving to america!" gabriella says and excitedly

"wait for real?" they nod "holy shit! you're moving here!"

"we are!" jeffery says giving me a bright warm smile

"am i invited to your wedding?" i say with a sarcastic tone

"obviously!" my sister says

"wait does mom know," i ask "about you moving to the us?"

"yeah, we've told her earlier" jeffery says, she nods

"how's your life been, george?" gabriella asks

"well," i breathe out "it's definitely been something"

"tell me about it"

"new school, made a few new friends, developed a new crush, who's also-"

"wait, new crush?" she says "oh my god, spill"

i laugh "his name's clay, he's one of my closest friends at the moment, he's bisexual," i say "thank god" i say under my breath

"does he like you back?" she asks

i cup my face with my hands "i can't tell, he's been giving me mixed signals" i look at my wrist "i'm even wearing the bracelet he gave me on my birthday, didn't even notice" i laugh out

she rubs my back "it's alright, if he's really meant for you you'll find out eventually"

"yeah" i sigh "i'm agreed to go to a party with him on saturday"

"party?" she questions "wow my little gogs has grown up" she says with an overly sarcastic tone

"shut up"
