"Thunk... Thunk" is where we start off today as a small silk ball continued hitting the hard cave wall over and over again. The one playing with the ball was non other than our main character Silky who was born and raised in this cave that she now plays in but she couldn't fly like all the other Silkwings mainly because she was still just a dragonet and Silkwings were born wingless. Silky was a darkish-purple Silkwing with large light purple spots on her front legs and large light blue spots on her back legs and she was unusual because she lived in a cave. Silky was afraid of the outside world because of her parents telling her about the Hivewings and Leafwing war or the treewars and all the mind controlling so Silky never stepped a talon out the cave.

Silky tossed the ball up in the air and hit it with her tail much like a baseball bat and it hit the wall making a soft thunk noise because it was made out of Silkwing silk. Her mother who was the darkish-purple Silkwing had crafted the ball using her flamesilk to make Silky happy when she was upset or uncomfortable and Silky had it since she was born and wouldn't let it go along with her flamesilk blanket her father crafted for her and speaking of her father he had entered the room to tell Silky that dinner was ready. Silky's father a light blue color with spots of white and he loved his daughter dearly. "Silky dinner is ready my love" her father spoke softly as he entered the room and the smell of freshly cooked food filled Silky's nose. Silky jumped off the wall and landed on her back then scurried to her talons and quickly ran out the door to meet her mother.

Silky's mother was waiting in the big room with a meal sitting on a wooden carved table and it smelled delicious. The room was the kitchen and it had a silk crafted rug with a huge fire place for cooking and it was made out of wood plus there was flowers and trees in the cave and small silk crafted lanterns. The cave was covered in life from small trees to flowers and even to actual grass but that was because long ago Silky's grandmother was friends with a Leafwing which would have been Silky's aunt if she hadn't died along with Silky's grandmother.

Silky's parents past was all about Silkwings and Leafwings and today Silky had asked her mother about her grandmother and her aunt. "Mother why did grandma become friends with the Leafwing if she knew it would cost her life?" Silky asked with food in her mouth "oh Silky darling... Your just full of questions aren't you? Your just like your grandmother with all these questions" her mother replied while wiping food off Silky's face. Her mother sighed then looked up at the ceiling then to her husband and back to Silky who was hoping up and down in her seat waiting for a reply. "Your grandmother always believed that Leafwings were not meant to be harmed and she was right because when she was young she had meant your aunt Saplingwood and she wasn't evil or harmed anyone. Your grandmother would sneak out every night to see Sapling but when Queen Wasp became queen of Hivewings when your grandmother and aunt was an adult they had to flee from the area of Silkwings because Queen Wasp started the treewars killing almost all of the Leafwings with mind controlled Hivewings and soon your grandmother an aunt found a place to stay for a little while. The two lived the rest of their live together and your grandmother finally meant another Silkwing who became your grandfather and then she got pregnant with me and your aunt was so happy when she saw me but when I became older your grandma told me to go in a nice way and gave me this silk and hardened sap necklace" her mother stopped and tugged on the necklace around her neck that had bright flamesilk and dull sap.

"I fled and soon meant your father who loved me very much and did everything with me plus he took care of me when your grandmother, grandfather, and aunt all died" her mother continued then stopped and pulled the necklace off from around her neck and slipped it onto Silky's neck. "This will be yours now and when you have any kids of yours or adopted you pass it on to them and share the legend of your grandmother and aunt" her mother patted Silky on the head and gave her a big smile. Silky tugged on the necklace and smile as she quickly finished her food and then went back into her room to play with the ball. The necklace hit Silky's chest as she played ball and soon enough night fell over the sky and it was time for bed with Silky. Her mother and father came in to tuck Silky in for bed and kiss her goodnight and when they left Silky sprang up because she wanted to hear more but instead of bothering her mother and father she waited for them to go to sleep and tip-toed through the hall and into a small room filled with boxes of pictures but for some reason her parents never allowed her to go in.
