The Life of Silky (A Wing Of Fire fanfiction book)

Chapter 5

The day started off with of course everyone waking up inside of the big and wide cave and yawning with sleepily eyes and raspy talking or whispering. Mountain was woken up by Ember who bit his arm to wake him up because he was a deep sleeper but yet he was yearning to go back to bed saying that he needed sleep to function. "That's all that you did yesterday and the day before yesterday! How could you still be tired?" Ember asked "because I just am" Mountain said tiredly but Ember and Lilith both got him up and forced him to get his stuff. Fruity was waking up Silky while DartedVine was collecting their pouches for them. Silky yawned as she saw everyone getting ready for the day and Fruity placed Silky's pouch over her head so it would dangle against her chest. Tamia was busy packing a few more things than everyone else and once she was done Tsunami had come in and talked to us about what cave to go to so everyone followed Tsunami into a huge cave called the Art cave.

The Art cave had a lot of carved dragons on stone shelves and Tsunami explained what to do in the Art cave as other dragons started to pile in. "The Art cave is where you'll learn about the different art formations and do art as well such as painting, pottery, glass-making, metalworking, weaving, and woodworking and if you see here their are shelves full of sculptures from different dragons" Tsunami pointed at the sculptures on shelves and the different art supplies. Tsunami also took us to the Great Hall which was the unofficial entrance of Jade mountain academy, it had a huge bronze gong hanging from the back wall with three flying dragons in the center, lots of sunlight pouring through, and enough space to fit four hundred dragon inside while still flying overhead. "This place will possibly not be the entrance much longer but it will do for now" Tsunami said while bringing us to the next cave or more like a center called the Healing center.

The Healing center where dragonets get healed and learn in a class called herbs and healing which was about the different healing herbs that you could use for medicine or learn about healing in general. There was a colored diagram of a Mudwing showing where it's muscles are located in the dragon body and a lot of medical supplies. Next up was the History cave and we met another Seawing named Webs and he was a lot older than Hydro, Tsunami, and Pacificsight and he taught the History class. 

The History cave was covered in maps, each marked with a different year, and stacks of scrolls in corners. "This cave used to be much closer than it is now but it had to be relocated because of and accident..." Tsunami said "but it's okay now and welcome to the History cave, this is where you'll be after your tour around the academy" Webs quickly said then Tsunami started to lead the others to the next cave but Tamia was too busy looking at maps to notice. Tamia went over and grabbed a scroll off of a desk nearby and started to read it and Webs noticed Tamia staying back in the History cave. "Your an interested Nightwing aren't you? You should really get back with your group" Webs said "I know but It's not like there gonna notice" Tamia replied "Tamia" Silky called out from the cave entrance "c'mon! Your gonna miss the Library!" Silky said and that's when Tamia put down the scroll and quickly walked toward Silky. "Wanna race?" Tamia asked "sure!" Silky smiled then they both started running toward the Library while dodging other dragonets nearby.

Tamia was in the lead only because she had much stronger and powerful legs than Silky but Silky tried her best to keep up and was actually right behind her. They were running until both of them slipped in a puddle of water and right into the Library and crashed right onto Tsunami. Tsunami grunted as she, Tamia, and Silky got up then she looked at the two with a not so happy look and even the other dragonets stared at them "Where were you two?" Tsunami asked "oh I went to go get Tamia because she was gonna miss out on the Library, she was still in the History cave when we left" Silky explained "well next time don't run also how did you guys just land here?" Tsunami asked "oh ummm... Puddle of water" Tamia replied. Tsunami sighed but yet continued to talk about the Library.
