Chapter 6

Everyone was shocked but also there was a giant hole in the cave wall leading to the outside but near the escape way was a dragon in a mask and black hoodie so no one could see them. The dragon was heading out when Swordtail caught their attention "hey! What do you think your doing here killing innocent Leafwings or dragonets in general!?" Swordtail hollered but the dragon didn't listen and jumped out through the hole as Ember ran after the dragon but vines sprouted up through the ground, it roots cracking and breaking off pieces of the wall but the roots weren't just any type of roots but black roots that looked dead and it had large but thin deadly spikes. Ember stopped just in time before she hit one of the spikes and backed away carefully. Ruby and Mountain who had the toughest armored scales started cutting away the vine by claw and opening up the hole but the dragon wasn't anywhere in sight.

December checked the body and the damages that it had and they were worse than anything she's ever seen. "This dragon is strong, fierce, and obviously as searching for something when this Leafwing got in the way possibly trying to stop them but this dragon also has weapons, there is a large cut over the Leafwings stomach, one of it's legs are missing, it's wings have been torn, one of it's eyeballs are missing, and many scars and other cuts are seen along it's body" December said "but who would do this to a Leafwing?" Willow asked as she curled her tail around Sundew's "possibly those pesky controlled Hivewings! They must have found us" Sundew said "no... Not if they can make vines sprout out of the ground" Lilith said "are you saying that a fellow Leafwing killed one of it's kind? That's impossible! We've all stood by each other for so long!" Sundew growled at Lilith "but if this Leafwings wanted something that bad then yes it is possible for others to turn against each other and kill on of their own tribe members and not be sorry for it" Lilith checked out the vines by carefully picking it up at the tip but even Sundew had never seen this plant before.

Ruby and Mountain were checking around the Jade mountain when all of a sudden they came flying back in a hurry. "Guys! We need to get out of here now! Go collect your things!" Ruby yelled and without saying a word they all ran back to their cave and grabbed everything they had and quickly flew out through the unofficial entrance known as the Great hall while Silky was on Tamia's back and as they did they ground below started to shake badly and those huge black vines started tearing Jade mountain apart by breaking through the rock walls and then before they knew it Jade mountain was covered in the black vines. Silky was scared as she held onto Tamia tight while staring at Jade mountain in fear. They landed far below Jade mountain and saw the starting of where the vines came out the ground and started wrapping around Jade mountain. The grass that was near the vines had already turned dead and it spread through all the other grass as the ground started to make tiny cracks and lava started bubbling out of the ground. The vines moved quicker than the others and started killing off trees and making the wood split and bend and some of them even fell over.

The land started to become a dead land and the air was getting foggy making it harder to see. The dragonets had no choice but to run so they took off into the fog to see where they could go before the vines and roots caught up to them and the three places farthest away from Jade mountain was the Icewing kingdom where Queen Glacier ruled the kingdom of ice, the Skywing kingdom where Queen Ruby ruled the kingdom of sky, and the Seawing kingdom where Queen Coral ruled the kingdom of the sea. "Where do we go? The Icewing kingdom, the Skywing kingdom, or the Seawing kingdom?" Quartz asked "I say we go to the Icewing kingdom, Queen Glacier would surely be glad to help with their ice powers by freezing the vines and roots" Iceberg said "no! I say we should go to the Skywing kingdom, Queen Ruby is kind and I'm sure we can find Peril and my sister to help burn the vines and roots!" Ember argued "I say we go to the Seawing kingdom because at least we can cross the water if we have to" Pacificsight suggested "Pacificsight has a good point we shall go to the Seawings" Blue finally said so it was agreed to go to the Seawings. The dragonets followed Hydro and Pacificsight to their kingdom of the sea but it did take quite some time because by the time they made it to the summer palace it was already beginning to turn day time.
