The Life of Silky (A Wing Of Fire fanfiction book)

Chapter 2

It was morning again in the Rainwing kingdom and as usual the sun was very bright but something unusual happened today as Fruity and Silky got up from their slumber and it didn't happen right away. Fruity and Silky ate some fruit that Fruity had in the crafted basket and then Fruity picked up Silky to go bath in the sun again. Fruity landed on the wooden platform where they were the last time and were about to bath when that Nightwing Deathbringer flew up to the platform and stood in front of Fruity. Silky looked at the two and to be honest Fruity was taller than Deathbringer and it wasn't like she was an inch taller than him so you couldn't see how tall she was it was like she was way taller compared to Deathbringer.

Deathbringer had to look up at Fruity as Fruity eyed him like Queen Glory did to her. "Yes what do you want Deathbringer?" Fruity had the sound of disappointment in her voice like she didn't want to see Deathbringer ever "Queen Glory needs you and your Silkwing friend at her Pavilion for a little chat" Deathbringer said boldly like he could take on anything (which he probably couldn't) then allowed Fruity to pick up Silky then followed him to the Pavilion. Deathbringer walked into the Pavilion and sat right by Queen Glory who standing tall waiting for Fruity and Silky. Fruity entered the Pavilion with Silky under her and Glory smiled. "Fruity I have to say that you do a great job at comforting other dragons and dragonets and you have proven that to me by letting this little dragonet in and caring for it unlike other Rainwings who would simply not even pay attention to other tribe dragonets and I have a big surprise for you and your little friend but your gonna have to wait until a few other dragons come" Glory said.

Silky loved surprises and she could tell Fruity loves surprises too as her scales turned into the yellow color again. Glory told them to wait in the corner and that's what they did and while waiting they were talking about what the surprise was while Glory and Deathbringer talked to one another. Glory peaked over at the two dragons and smiled and Silky saw that smile and smiled back. "Fruity I have a question... Do you and Glory have a strong relationship?" Silky asked. Fruity and Glory looked at one another and Fruity smiled and turned to Silky "yes we do, we are actually friends and I believe you'll like her too" Fruity said as she pulled Silky in closer with her wing but soon enough other Rainwings entered the Pavilion in a quiet manner. The first Rainwing to walk in had main scales of light pinkish-purple with splotches of hot pink that faded into a lighter pink, their horns were completely purple and their frill was a darker purple, the top of their head was hot pink and their tail oddly went from a darker pinkish-purple to a dark/light pink to a hot pink. The second dragon to walk in was a lightest shade of bright yellow with a light orange underbelly, their wings faded from a light orange to a light pink and their horns were the lightest orange-pink color. The third dragon that came in was a really light pink that almost looked white, they had splotches of light pink with a darker pink underbelly, their wings faded from a rose pink to a light pink and their horns were the same, lastly their frill was a light teal green.

The very last dragon came in finally but she looked everyone dead in the eyes. They were bright yellow almost like the second dragon except they had splotches of light orange fading into dark orange, their underbelly was a light pink with odd zig-zags of hot pink, their horns were a light pink, their wings faded from light orange to dark orange just like their splotches but the way she scanned the place made Silky feel uncomfortable. "Queen Glory is something wrong? You sent Deathbringer to us for something?" The pinkish-purple dragon asked "yes, oh wait! Fruity and Silky this is Strawberry, Mango, Blossom, and Kinkabam and you 4 this is Fruity and Silky" Glory introduced them to one another and Strawberry waved at Fruity and Fruity waved back. All the Rainwings were talking until Kinkabam the one that was scanning the place suddenly jumped up in the air and flew straight over to Fruity and started shaking her talon violently. "Hello! I'm Kinkabam! I'm so happy to meet you Fruity and I hope we can be good friends!" Kinkabam smiled "I'm happy to meet you too Kinkabam! Oh this is Silky the Silkwing and she's not from here" Fruity looked over her shoulder to see Silky getting patted on the head by Strawberry.
