"MOM! MOM! Where are you?!" A very excited shout echoed through the entire Park household. A middle-aged woman, Mrs. Park, emerged from the kitchen and said,
"What happened, Mochi?" Mrs. Park's voice was tinged with irritation as she saw her son approaching with a smile that reached his eyes.
"Mom, you know, today I saw a girl-ufff! She is so beautiful! I think I'm in love, Mom!" Her son declared dreamily.
"Weren't you in love with a girl you saw in dance class, Jimin? Or was it the one you saw in the park?" Mrs. Park said as she sat on the sofa. Jimin joined her.
"No, I just liked them. But this is true love, Mom. She is sooo beautiful!" Jimin said confidently.
"But you said that last time too!" Mrs. Park recalled.
"Mom, believe me! I love her," Jimin whined.
Mrs. Park sat up straight, her tone turning serious. "And what about Hoseok? He loves you so much. Give him a chance."
Jimin scoffed and rolled his eyes, replying with irritation, "Seriously, Mom? I'm not gay, okay! I just see him as a best friend! Who knew he would fall in love with me!"
"Jimin, you are 19 and still don't know what 'love' means! Love doesn't need any gender, language, religion, or skin color; it just needs two hearts! And what year are you living in? It's 2020! In this year, gender doesn't matter in love, sweetheart! If it were 2005, then maybe gender would matter the most," Mrs. Park said sadly.
"What happened, Mom?" Jimin asked, disliking seeing his mom sad.
"Want to know the real meaning of love?" she said, her voice laced with excitement.
Jimin thought for a few seconds and nodded.
"Okay, wait!" Mrs. Park exclaimed and literally ran toward the bedroom.
"Slow down, you old lady!" Jimin shouted, watching his mom run like a kid. He turned on the TV and started watching Doraemon. After 15 minutes, his mom was still nowhere to be found. After another 30 minutes, Mrs. Park finally returned.
"Oh, you came. I thought you forgot I was waiting," Jimin said.
"Hehe, sorry, sorry! I was finding this book!" Mrs. Park sat down beside her son and handed him an old-looking book. Jimin took it.
He looked closely and said with a confused expression, "Our Love? What is this?"
Mrs. Park smiled and said, "You will understand what true love means if you read this book with your heart, baby! Please read carefully and keep it safe-it's my favorite. And it's based on a true story."
"The story in this book is real?" Jimin looked at his mom in shock.
Mrs. Park nodded. "Yes. It's Idol Jeon Jungkook and Kim Taehyung's story!"

Afterward, Jimin went to his room with the book and lay on his stomach on the bed. Just then, his phone rang.On call 📞
"What now, Hobi?" Jimin asked after picking up the call.
"Have you thought about us?" J-Hope asked with hope in his voice.
"No, I don't want you! How many times do I have to say this? And now Mom is on your side today and gave me a book to understand the real meaning of love. Seriously?" Jimin whined.
"Which book?"
"Something named Our Love."
"Oh, you should read that book. It taught me the meaning of love. I hope it teaches you too!" J-Hope said and hung up.
Jimin looked at the phone and said angrily, "What's so special about this book? Everyone is talking about it. Uff, so irritating!"
He threw the book on the bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up. After dinner, he lay in bed, his eyes landing on the book. He picked it up.
"Let's give it a try. What if it's really a good book?" Then he looked closely at the cover.
"Our Love! Written by JK and finished by Min Yoongi. Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook! Interesting..." he mumbled.
