I wake up to find Haida still sleeping on my couch. I just leave him and make breakfast. I notice him tossing and turning with a distressed look on his face. "Hey, are you alright?" He starts groaning in displeasure and I turn the stove off and walk over. When he starts shaking, I grab his hand without thinking to comfort him. He squeezes my hand really hard, and it starts to hurt, but I continue to hold his anyways. When he shoots up finally awake, he notices our hands and I can feel my face start to burn a bit. I immediately let go and after collecting himself he apologizes for scaring me. "Are you sure you're okay? That was pretty scary on my end as well." "Don't worry about it, I just need some fresh air."

After walking out I shortly walk out beside him. "I made breakfast if you want any." "Thanks." We walk in and sit down to eat. It's mostly silent and awkward, but there is some light conversation. "Wanna go for a walk later?" Don't get me wrong, I love being curled up in a corner with a good book, but it's to nice to get out sometimes. "Um, sure, just let me go home to get some clothes." "You know what? Just meet me at the park." "Ok cool." He then walks out and I get this feeling of missing something. His being here was nice. I get to the park and walk around for a bit until Haida arrives. I then get a text:

I'm here.

I jump when I feel a pair of hands on my shoulders and turn around to see a smirking Haida. "Not funny." "It was pretty funny." "Ok, it was kinda funny." We then started walking. "So Haida, do you have feelings for anybody?" He looked very shocked and hesitantly answered. "Well, I guess so." I felt like my heart got stepped on and kicked.

"W-who?" "There's this girl who works in the same accounting department as me, and she's really cute." He then looked at me. "Do you have anyone in your life, Y/N?" "You could say that." I then felt my face getting really hot. "Who is it?" I could feel my face on fire now. "Um........it's a secret." "Aww, why not?" "Would you look at the time, I have to get home to get ready for my shift tomorrow." "You never answered my question." "M-maybe another time."

When he started walking away though, I knew I had to say something. "Hey." When he turned, I gave him a hug. "Thank you. I really needed this. Ever since grandma died, I felt like it was never going to get better." He jumped at the contact but gave me a pat on the back. "Alright, see ya." I walked off with a huge grin on my face. When I got home, I was still excited. I did my nightly routine and laid down until my eyes slowly shut.
