"We are gathered here today to join Y/N and Haida together in holy matrimony." Said the priest. "I, Y/N, take you, Haida, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, until death do us part." "And I, Haida, take you, Y/N, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, until death do us part." "By the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and......husband." The priest chuckles awkwardly. "You may now kiss.......the husband." As I lean in to connect our lips, I feel nothing. I open my eyes in realization and see that it was a dream. I sigh loudly and get out of my bed groggily.

Haida rolls over and sits up. "Good morning sunshine." He smiles sleepily. "Good morning." I smile back. "Do you want breakfast? I was about to make something." I ask him grabbing some orange juice from the fridge. "No thanks, I was just gonna head into work and get something from the vending machine." "I don't think canned coffee counts as breakfast." I laugh softly. Oh crap. I completely forgot about work today. "Hey Haida, I'm gonna be a little late to work today." "Am I allowed to ask why?" "Nothing serious, I'll just need some extra time to get ready." "Ok," he says with suspicion. I walk off to the room.

HAIDA POV

I question his suspicious behavior, he's usually ready before me and now he's going into work late? Something's up, and I'm gonna figure out what that is. I get ready like normal and head out the door, but I don't leave yet. I wait for him to leave about 45 minutes later, and follow him on foot. He decided not to take his car, and he would recognize mine so walking it is. After a few close calls, I follow him all the way to the park. He stopped and sat down on a bench. Then someone else came and sat down next to him. I crouch behind a large bush to listen. Who is that?

Y/N POV

"Hey Y/N." "Hi." "So I wanted to meet with you to talk about something." "Did something happen, are you ok?" "I'm fine, it's just that with everything that's happened recently, I haven't had the time to find a place since me and my ex were living together. Oh crap, if this is going where I think it's going- "What i'm trying to say is, can I stay with you for the meantime?" He says with a nervous smile. Dammit. "Well....see......the thing is......um.....I'm kinda already living with someone." "Oh. Ok, it's fine, I can find another place." "Yeah, sorry." "It's cool." I check my phone. I'm really late for work I gotta go. "I have to go, like right now, I'll catch you later?" "Yeah, later."

HAIDA POV

I see the mysterious guy and Y/N walk separate ways and I sneak back to the house and drive off right as Y/N gets back. He meets me at work 10 minutes later and I pretend as if nothing happened.

Y/N POV

"Hey." I say sitting down next to him at my desk. "Hello." He says not looking away from his computer. Odd, but i'm sure it's nothing. I get started on my work, finishing most of it and taking a break. Retsuko looks more exhausted than usual, courtesy of Ton. Fenneko is in her own world on her phone, and Haida is with Ookami discussing something. I walk over to Retsuko and Fenneko sitting down with them. "Hey guys." "Hi." Retsuko said. She still managed a smile despite her exhaustion. "What's up." Said Fenneko, still not looking away from her phone.

"Hey Retsuko, can I ask you a question?" "Yeah?" "How come you never ask for help? And I mean this in the nicest way possible, but you look like a zombie." She chuckles awkwardly. "Well, I know that I can carry the burden of the piles of work Ton gives me." "Yeah, but you shouldn't have to, there's more than enough people who work in the accounting department. And Tsubone does the same, it's just not fair." She sighs. "I guess you're right." "I'll help you." I say. "I can't ask you to do that." "You didn't." I grin. "Are you sure?" "It's the least I can do." "Ok then." She smiles. We spend the rest of the day working to complete the many mounds of paperwork she accumulated in the day.

I come home late, sneaking in quietly. Then the light flickers on and I almost jump into the air. Standing there is Haida, leaning against the wall. “Crap Haida, you scared me. What are you doing up so late?” “I should say the same thing. Have fun with your side piece?” “What are you talking about-” I remember my talk with Nico. “Were you tailing me? And I thought my mom was crazy. What the hell Haida?” “Is this what you’re doing? Sneaking off with other men?” “It wasn’t even like that, he’s just a friend.” “Yeah sure, and I’m secretly Ton. You know I thought we had something special.” I can see tears welling up in his eyes, and in mine as well. “We do have something special, how we feel about each other.” “Well it’s obvious you don’t feel the same, if you did we wouldn’t be having this conversation.” He walks to the room and begins to pack his things. “Wait, what are you doing?” “What do you think I’m doing? I can’t live with a cheater.” “I told you it wasn’t like that.” “And I’m supposed to believe you? You know what, I can't do this. I’ll get my stuff tomorrow.” He storms out of the apartment, leaving me there in tears. “H-Haida.”
