Chapter 4

Mikes POV:

"So, Hawkins is now the upside down?" Lucas asks. "Pretty much," I reply. I look over to Lucas and see Max laying on his lap. I want to say something since I knew they'd get back together, they're honestly such a cute couple. I wish I had something like them, but not with El.

I look next to me where Will is, he's looking outside the window. I can't make out his face, if it's sad, worried, I can't tell. I put my hand on his shoulder to comfort him, he then looks over at me. We lock eyes once again, but this time I feel something. I feel like I just went on a roller coaster, that type of feeling in your stomach.

Will smiles so I subconsciously smile back at him. "Where do you guys think Dustin is?" Nancy interrupts. "I'm pretty sure he's at the school with Robin and Steve," Lucas states. "Hawkins high school it is," Jonathan blurts.

We get to the high school to find a crowd people standing outside, we all get out of the car besides Lucas so he can stay with Max. Will and I go in search of Dustin. "Do you see him out here?" Will questions. "No I don't, come on," I say. I grab his hand to pull him through the crowd to get inside of the high school.

We walk inside to find more people, a few look at us weird, and or disgusted. I forgot that I was holding Will's hand. I let go because I'm scared of what people would say to Will and I. I look at Will and I see his face turn disappointed. Does he want to hold my hand? Well I can't. There's too many people that could judge us. Plus..I don't like him that way..at least I think.

"Hey there's Dustin," Will says pointing to Dustin in the distance. We run over to Dustin. "Dustin!" I yell. "Hey guys, do you know what's happening?" Dustin asks. "Hawkins is turning into the upside down, we need to go, like now," Will stampers.

"I'm getting Steve and Robin i'll be right back," Dustin says. "Meet us outside in the van," I say to Dustin. "Got it," Dustin replies. Will and I go to find Jonathan and Nancy to tell them we found him. We find them and we rush back to the van where Lucas and Max are.
