Over the next two weeks, she had made a small group of friends at the cafe.

She didn't really know if they were friends or not, they were all just new fighters that congregated at the cafe in the mornings.

The was a girl, Misa, who was short and chubby. She had bangs and short jet black hair which complemented her usual dark colored apparel.

Her friend, Evie, who wasn't much taller but had a slim figure. Evie had blonde hair with a few purple highlights, that was usually tied into a high ponytail, and wore warm colors.

Then there was the male of the group, Cas. Cas was taller than all three of the girls and had black, shoulder length hair - although half was usually tied up. He usually wore grey, baggy clothing and his ears were gauged just a bit bigger than her left ear.

They're meetups had became routine over the past week. They would all order their coffees, and sometimes breakfast, and just ramble on about whatever was on their minds.

"Man, I don't wanna fight today. I'm so sore from yesterday." Cas groaned as he pushed his chair back. He was the most famous fighter out of the group because he liked to push himself, usually fighting over 5 times a day while the rest only fought twice if even once.

"Take a break, maybe?" Misa laughed. "Yea, you do overwork yourself. You're name isn't going anywhere." Elise agreed over her coffee. "What's the fun in that?" Cas sighed, now slouching to rest his head on his arms and the table. "Oh, yea, forgot your definition of fun is torture." Evie rolled her eyes jokingly, erupting laughs from everyone.

"Speaking of fun, did you guys get invited to that party?" Cas perked up. "No?" All three girls said confused. "Oh."

"You do realize you're a lot more known than us, right?" Evie stated. "Yea, doesn't really help that we're chicks. We're instantly underestimated." Misa added. "But that can actually be an advantage." Elise chimed in. "In a fight, I guess." Misa agreed.

"Well, do you guys wanna go? I know a lot of fighters are gonna be there so I don't think anyone will notice or care if you guys sneak in." Cas offers. "Obviously!" Evie exclaimed. "I mean, sure." Elise agreed. "I don't know if it's my scene." Misa finally answered quietly.

"Oh, come onnn!" Evie leaned into her. "Yea, come on, Mia" Cas nicknamed. "Misa, I think it'd be fun, but it's ultimately your decision." Elise placed her input. Misa thought for a second, before sighing, "Fine, when is it?" She said finally. "Tonight, we can meet here and go together, yea?" Cas asked. They all agreed and finished their breakfast and coffee.

Evie had insisted Elise and Misa accompany her while dress shopping. So here she was, in a fancy store with expensive clothing.

It was so different to Elise, who had only ever really thrifted clothes. Now she had enough money to buy a thrift shop.

Evie had already purchased her dress,  a tight dark purple thing that cling to her figure, whole Misa had picked out a black off the shoulder dress.

"Your turn!" Evie exclaimed. "Dresses aren't much my thing." Elise smiled apologetically. "And parties arent mine, if I'm going you're wearing a dress." Misa dropped the ultimatum on her, making her sigh.

Evie has ended up picking out several of dresses for her to try on. Evie, of course approved of all of them as she exited the changing room but Elise thought they all showed too much skin.

Eventually she settled for an dark earthy brown satin slit dress. It flowed just above her knees and the slit cling to her leg, not showing anything underneath. The waist was corseted, and the back was open but covered her back in strings to tighten the dress.

It was still a bit too much exposure, but it was the strictest dress of the bunch. She finally paid for it, as well as a pair of matching heels, and returned to the arena tower with the girls before they departed.

By the time she returned to her room it was already getting later in the afternoon, around 7 as they were supposed to meet around 9. She couldn't believe she had spent the whole day with her newfound group for a party.

She just flipped down onto her bed to rest for a few moments. She sighed at the realization her group would expect her to go all out with her look, as they were probably doing. Eventually she gathered the energy to push herself up off of the bed and find her way to the bathroom.

Putting her hair up, she got to work on a subtle makeup look. Maybe a bit of gold on her eyes, eyeliner, a bit a lip tint, lashes. She didn't really do special occasions much, so she didn't know where the line was. She moved on, taking her hair down and grabbing the straightener to run along her hair in a way to add volume.

She took off all her jewelery, and her neck felt so relieved. A weight lifted that instantly fixed her posture. She opted for just two golden necklaces to match her makeup, on tight around her neck while the other in a short chain just below her collarbones.

Finally, she put her outfit together and when she looked in the mirror she looked like a different person. She still didn't like how tight the dress clung to her form but it was too late to complain.

Looking at the time it was 8:30. She sighed, grabbing her small purse and strutting out the door. She hadn't wore heels in a long time, but after a few several steps she got used to them for the most part. She took the elevator to the main floor and when the doors open she could see the other three already sitting in the cafe.

She walked in and Cas had to look twice to realize it was her. "Woah, Elise, you look..." Cas fumbled as she sat down. He was wearing a simple black suit and had his hair down for once. "Yea, yea." She laughed it off. All of her friends look amazing, and she didn't waste time complimenting them all.

"Guess it's time to get this show on the road." Cas informed after a while. Everyone made their way out the door and got into a taxi cab Cas had called them. Elise had sat in the front seat, where she was greeted by a familiar face.

"Oh, what's up, dude?" She blurts when she realized it was the same driver that had dropped her off at the arena from the airport. "Hey, you. You clean up nice, and made some friends?" He remembered. They caught up just a bit as he drove.
