Cas helped her move until there was nothing left in the small studio apartment. Her arena room was similar to Hisoka's, but smaller.
The same floor to ceiling windows lined the back wall, and the bed was placed in the same space which she knew would give her horrible de ja vu later.
The same white and light beige theme colored the room as well, as she assumed it did all rooms.
Cas had left an hour ago, and she had spent the last hour unpacking everything. Whereas she didn't unpack at the previous apartment, knowing it was only temporary, she made this one feel like home.
She sighed with her hands on her hips and she took a final look at the new room, thoroughly approving of everything. Then she gathered her things with the closest store in mind. She needed to get groceries, actual food instead of ramen and chips, and wanted to see if there was anything she could buy and add to make the place feel more like home.
She had changed into comfortable clothes when she arrived earlier with Cas, and swore off drinking for the next forever.
It was only a few steps after locking the door behind her did she collide with something. "What the hell?" She looked down to find two familiar faces looking back up at her.
"Elise?" They both spoke first, Gon's voice more excited while Killua's was further questioning. "Whoa, what are you guys doing here?" She asked, excited to see them after so long.
"Killua was showing me the arena, I haven't been up here yet." Gone explained. "I told him it was just hallways and rooms up this high but he wanted to check it anyways." Killua added.
"No, like. I mean here, here. What are you doing here at the Arena??" She specified. "We came to train and make money, we've been here for about a week." Gon replied. "What are you doing here?" Killua bit back in Gon's place.
Then she remembered she had abandoned the group, and further abandoned Killua. "Oh, I've been here for a few weeks. Same as you, training." She shifted awkwardly, feeling the tension Gon didn't seem to.
"You know Hisoka's here too, right? Isn't that crazy that we'd all end up in the same place again!" Gon exclaimed. "Yea, I've seen him around." She lied, meeting Killua's eyes she knew he knew she was lying.
She blanked out for a few moments. Guilt eating at her like maggots to a corpse at the hatred and shame she gathered from just a glimpse in her former best friend's eyes.
"His fight is tomorrow night, are you going to?" He asked. "Elise." Killua spoke, snapping her out of the trance. "Yea!" She responded, he flicked his eyes to Gon.
"Yea, tomorrow night." She agreed, repeating the only thing she had vaguely heard. "That's so cool, we'll see you there then!" He smiled, before dragging Killua away. She shook her head when they'd gone. Trying to recall what she agreed to.
As she continued her task to the grocery store she ran into Evie in the lobby. "Hey, Eve." Elise greeted. "Oh, hey." She wasn't bubbly today. "Hungover?" She teased.
"No, Evie's just tired." She only spoke in third person when something was bothering her so bad she didn't feel like herself. Elise had partially diagnosed her with a slight personality disorder.
"C'mon, you're not tired. Wanna come to the store and talk about it?" She offered, more for Evie than herself, as she could go the rest of the week without interacting with anyone.

"Thank you so much for talking to me!" Evie hugged her as she departed. "I'll see you in the morning, hopefully with Misa." Elise waved goodbye. During the shopping trip she had learned that Evie and Misa had gotten into a fight over Cas, she remembered that very vaguely from the previous night.
Misa had confided in Evie that she liked Cas and felt betrayed that Evie would come into him after knowing that. Evie expressed that she didn't even like Cas, that she was just drunk and wasn't thinking.
She had tried to apologize but Misa was too upset and every had went home in silence. She had apologized for leaving her, but said she couldn't find her anywhere. Elise didn't hold a grudge over it, knowing the whole group was a bit too tipsy. Regardless, Elise had told her to apologize now that they were sober, and explain everything.
Aside from that, Elise had bought an assortment of things. As she stepped back into her apartment she began setting bags down. As if that wasn't enough, a baggage porter soon arrived to bring the rest of her things up.
He helped load everything inside before she paid him a hefty tip, feeling bad even if it was his job, and saying goodbye. She began taking unpacking all of the bags.
The first thing she did was place all of the groceries into the fridge and freezer before organizing everything else into shelves. The bathroom was next, things like lotions and medicine, since her ability could cure a life threatening wound but not a headache.
Then things for the small balcony, she had bought several plants and wind chimes, a colorful mat and a foldable chair, which she organized neatly. The living room area only got a new rug and a couch robe.
Finally, she tackled the bedroom area. She hung various sun catchers along the window as well as a few indoor hanging ferns. She had bought an excessive amount of pillows, since the staff had only placed two on her bed, as well as a very comfy blanket.
She hung transparent satin sheets from the ceiling, either blanketing or draping down. It was a personal preference she'd always had in whatever room she was in, it gave the ceiling a less-bare look. Then she hung up a few pictures that depicted nature scenes from meadows to mountains to gloomy pines.
After about an hour and a half, she sighed and fell back onto her bed. It was so much comfier. She never got up, instead falling asleep as the eventful day had wore on her shoulders.
