When she woke up, she groaned as bright light flooded her vision. She turned on the bed, before perking up at the realization she was in a bed.

Opening her eyes, she was in a strange room. Looking around, she realized the bed was placed in the corner, beside a  floor to ceiling window. Looking out, she realized she was in a room thousands of feet in the air.

She scrambled back, surprised, and nearly fell off the bed. She gathered herself and studied the room a bit more, trying to place her surroundings. At the end of the bed was her dress from last night.

She flushed a bright red as she remembered events from the previous night, of the group, of Misa yelling, and then Hisoka. Hesitantly, she lifted the blanket that had been covering her. Where she feared seeing her nude body, she was relieved to see the was wearing an oversized shirt and loose shorts. She didn't have any recollection of that, nor did she recognize the clothing.

Suddenly the door clicked open, making her jump, and in strutted Hisoka holding a bag. "Goodmorning, dove." He swooned. "What the hell happened?" She demanded. "Did we-?" She began but cut herself off, embarrassed.

"Calm down, now. And no, we did not, I promise." He replied calmly, redirecting his focus. He walked into the open kitchen and began taking items out of the bag.

He wore casual attire now, his arena outfit and the suit nowhere to be seen. His hair was down, like it was last night. And although his face was bare and void of makeup, his pale skin tone was authentic. She remembered the thoughts she had about him on the balcony the previous night and flushed.

"You fell asleep at that club. I tried to take you home but you were quite upset I kept waking you up, and would not tell me or my driver where you lived, so I brought you here." He began, she tried to speak but he cut her off.

"Tch, I'm getting there." He tutted softly. "You kept complaining about the dress, so I gave you some spare clothes, you changed in my bathroom with the door closed. I tried to make the couch as comfortable for you as I could, but you kept complaining. I opted on giving you the bed, and I would sleep in the couch instead, but you also kept complaining. I wasn't sure what to do, but you only stopped complaining when I lay in the bed beside you." He explained thoroughly, leaving her speechless.

"You promise?" She squeaked. He turned to her, meeting her eyes confidently, "Yes, I promise." before returning to his task. "I'm so sorry." She mumbled, now laying her head on her knees. "No need, it was quite entertaining. I don't get company very often." He chuckled.

"Thank you," She noticed his pause when the words left her mouth. "For taking care of me." She finished.

He didn't reply.

He had shared his breakfast with her, which was what he was bringing home in that bag.

He had let her use his bathroom to get rid of the makeup residue, lending her makeup wipes he used for his face paint.

He had reassured her everything was 'quite alright', regardless of how many times she apologized.

He had even gathered her dress and purse for her as she left, and told her goodbye as the door closed.

She'd never expected to share a night with Hisoka, even if she wasn't conscious. And she certainly didn't expect it to go over as well as it did.

It was early enough that she could catch her group before they left the cafe. She walked barefoot through the halls and into the elevator, belongings including her heels in her arms.

She should have probably gone to her room first. All of her things were still at the hotel down the block, and she was yet to check out the room they had given her only recently due to sheer laziness.

She wasn't prepared to haul all of her belongings up a few stories and into a whole new room yet, but as she waited the elevator's ding she figured there was no better time than now- or later today, maybe.

She made her way into the lobby, but only found Cas sitting alone. "Hey, what's up?" Elise greeted, setting her things in the booth beside her.

"Not much, can't believe your up this early." He teased. "Yea, well-" "Actually, you came from the elevator, did you move into your room already? I told you I'd help." He interrupted. "No I actually..." She trailed off a bit, giving him a shy look.

"No way." He perked up with a teasing smile. "Who's pleasure?" He asked. "It's not like that." She looked away, placing her head in her hands. The story was kind of unreal now that she played it over in her head, but if anything else had happened she was sure Hisoka would have been blunt about it.

"Hisoka took me home." She muttered, making him choke on his coffee. "He took you home? To his home you mean?" He laughed. "Yea, that's what I meant." She fumbled. "So..." He sat expectantly.

"I was drunk, he didn't know where I lived and I wasn't in the mindset for directions, he let me take his bed, then made me breakfast. Now I'm here." She purposely left out the part about her drunkenly forcing him to sleep with her in said bed.

"Aw, what? That's it?" He huffed. "Hisoka, though. Never thought the guy was a rapewalker." It was her turn to choke, on nothing. "A what?" "A dude that takes drunk chicks home to protect them, but doesn't sleep with them." He explained.

"Yea, that's a totally real term." She mused sarcastically. "It is, look it up." He bit back. "Hisoka," she started, changing the subject. "He's nice." She finished. "Crushing much?" He teased. "I don't know him that well, I don't even know if he considers me a friend." She ignored him, instead reflecting on their time spent at the Hunter Exams.

"I'm getting the feeling you knew each other before last night?" A genuine question. "We took the Exams together. I was mainly a healer then and he was always getting into trouble." She spoke softly, with a small smile as she recalled his recklessness. "I'd say you know him fairly well then." He stated. "You should see if he'll give you free tickets to his fight, I wanna check it out." He added, of course that was all he was after.

"Help me move my stuff to my room, then we'll talk." She joked.
