Kids were walking in the classroom every other minute taking their seats before the bell rings. there weren't many walking in considering this is an all senior class and is our first period of the day

There's 5 kids in the class so far including me and Kasen. about 2-3 more kids will show up before the bell rings and the rest will be late or won't come at all. the usual

I sat in my seat laying my head down on the desk dozing off because it feels so early; Kasen held my casted arm and was drawing on it. I really didn't care what he put on there because his handwriting is neat

My mind was still in vacation mode. I haven't been back to school in a while so I'm tired. i'm so glad Christmas break is coming i'm over school. I lifted my head to the check the time on my phone. 5 minutes until class starts

"Best friend" Kasen took one of his AirPods out and looked at me

"Hm" I layed my head back on my arm

"When you getting this took off?" He asked nodding to my cast

"In like 2 weeks, I know it's before Christmas though" I said and he nodded "it doesn't even hurt no more I wanna take it off now"

"Nah leave it alone. let it heal all the way"

"Look at you. preaching to me something you ain't do" I said and he frowned

"Learn from my mistakes, jack ass"

"Shut up, dickhead" I flicked him off and he chuckled putting his Airpod back in

Kori walked in the classroom and Kasen looked up at him. they made eye contact as Kori walked past our table and went straight to his seat. I wasn't to fond of what he said to Mazi so I didn't really care  that he didn't speak, but I am wondering why him and Kasen looked at each other like that

"What's going on wit y'all?" I asked him and he took out his Airpod again

"Hm?"

"You and Kori" I said and he waved it off putting his attention back on my arm "If it was over that game then that's stupid" I said moving my arm so he would look and he did

"I asked him if he was good, he said yea, I pass him the ball, he throw up everywhere" He dropped his hands on the desk "not only on the field but threw up on another one of the wide receivers on the team too. and Deshawn a bitch for not playing ion care the whole thing was just stupid" He sat back in his chair

"You could've played without them"

"Nah bruh them replacements wasn't ready to be out there. you should've seen them niggas during conditioning" He said then shook his head "Coach gave up on even training them when they couldn't keep up because he knew the originals was gon be there for the last two games. i'm not passing the ball to no bench warmers" He shrugged

Well I get that part. he's quarterback, he can't run every single play himself. and from the sounds of it passing the ball to one of the replacements would just be embarrassing
