"Kookaburra sitting on the electric wire, jumping up and down with his pants on fire. Fly kookaburra, fly kookaburra, oh how dumb you must be?" Maddie sang to Ced who just giggled1

"That can't be a real song" She said

"It is I promise you. Every Aussie kid knows that song. There's lots of different versions of it though." Maddie assured her.

"Ok, do another" She asked excitedly.

"Um...oh...I got one" Maddie smiled and cleared her throat.

"We're happy little Vegemites, as bright as bright can be. We all enjoy our Vegemite for breakfast, lunch and tea. Our mummy says we're growing stronger every single week. Because we love our Vegemite. We all adore our Vegemite. It puts a rose in every cheek." She sang.

Ced clapped and cheered

"What's Vegemite?" She asked

"Well...it's kinda like peanut butter...but you would never eat it like you would with peanut butter. With Vegemite less is best." Maddie explained

"Oh...Ma we should go to Australia! I want to taste Vegemite" Ced informed her mother

"I'm totally thinking about booking a holiday there." Mika sighed wistfully.

Alyssa just rolled her eyes.

Beatriz came back from the bathroom and sat next to her girlfriend in the living room.

"You guys aren't hassling her again are you?" She asked

"No...we were making her sing." Ced informs her

"Ced I told you not to do that"

"It's ok Beatriz I don't mind. I was telling Ced about Vegemite." Maddie smirked

Beatriz pulled a disgusted face

"Oh god that stuff is gross I don't know how your people can love it so much" She replied2

"You've tasted it?" Ced asked

"Yeah, Maddie made me try it. I do not recommend it. At. All."

Maddie just laughed.

"I did warn you it's not like peanut butter"

"It tasted like someone died" Beatriz replied

"Hey, that's our nations pride and joy" Maddie joked

"Well that's just sad" Beatriz laughed

"Maddie have you ever seen a koala?" Ced asked

"Yep"

"Wow...what about a kangaroo?" She then asked

"Yep...When we used to live in The Alice out in the woop, woop there were hundreds of them. And emus...though I don't like emus, I got attacked by one when I was little so me and emus are not mates." Maddie replied.

They were all startled by Mika giggling and blushing like a school girl with a crush, when she noticed everyone looking at her, she cleared her throat and stood up.

"I'm...just going to go check on dinner." She quickly said before she scurried off out of the living room.

Once again Alyssa rolled her eyes, Maddie just chuckled to herself and Beatriz just looked embarrassed.

Mika was standing by the stove checking on the food when Alyssa came in to help out.

"Could you be any more obvious Babe?" She asked
