Initiation Day 1

Katniss POV
Today is the first day of initiation. It's only 7:15, and we do not have to be a the training room until 8:00. I go get dressed. I put on a black t shirt with the dauntless symbol, and black capris. I go to the dining hall and grab some bacon and a hash brown. I get a cup of coffee to wake me up. I run to the training room to talk to Tris. "Hey, Tris. Can I ask you something?" "Sure. Ask me anything. That's a reason why I'm here." "Okay. I suck at fighting. I really need help. Will you help me?" We walk to a punching bag and I show her what I can do. "Okay. You are built exactly like I was during initiation. My instructor told me I have more power behind my elbows and knees. Try doing that. That's all I can help you with. Okay the others are coming. See ya." We have our first fight today. I wait for Four to hang up the pairings. He hangs them up, and I go look.

I'm against Jackie?! We have been here one day, and she has her ears pierced top to bottom, her nose is pierced, she has a skull tattoo on her arm, and her hair is dyed bright pink with a blue highlight. The first fight goes by in a blur. Adam was an Amity. He could never hurt you. But he's got a tattoo of the Dauntless symbol on his shoulder. Four circles Peeta's name. Jax (Jackie) walks into the ring and cracks her knuckles. "Fight!" I go at her face with my elbow. I hit and she stumbles back. She sweeps my feet and I fall. Black spots dance in my vision. I see her foot come at my face. Four circles Jackie's name on the board while Tris takes me off the floor. The fights go by even faster. The winners that round were Peeta, Jackie, Che', Finnick and Zoey. Tris hangs up the pairs for tomorrow. I am against Branden. He looks exactly like Jackie. He even has the same hair. Just short. I walk out and head to the Pit. To beat a beast, become a beast.

Later that day
To beat a beast, become a beast. I head to the hair salon. After spending ten minutes, I choose a bright green hair dye. And I get black. It is temporary, so I can wash it out after initiation. I have Christina dye my hair bright green and do black tips. I have her Tempa-Spike my hair. That means my hair will stay spiked until I wash my hair. Then I go to the tattoo parlor. They hook me up with a temporary tattoo of a snake that wraps around my neck. I go to the clothes store and buy a studded choker necklace and studded crop top. Become a beast. Mission accomplished.
