...With A Drink

"How was your day baby?" Audrey asked me as she handed me a cup of coffee.

"Not too bad, had to fix the mower today but that was an easy fix." I said before taking a sip of my coffee.

"How did you go with the paddock then?" Audrey asked. "Get everything done you wanted to before you had to fix it?"

"Not everything, but a little bit of extra time out in the field tomorrow and I should be back on track."

"Well don't make yourself sick. She'll love all the open space regardless of if it's ready on time or not."

"Yeah, she'll love it."

I took another sip of my coffee as Audrey let out a giggle. I looked to her and raised an eyebrow.

"And what's so funny to you?" I asked with a smile.

"Nothing, just can't believe I'm married to such an amazing man." She told me, giving me an amazing smile back.

"Yep. Married for how long again?"

"Seven years now. Feels like only last night we met for the first time though."

I chuckled at her comment. "That was one hell of a fuck. You still are too."

"Oh I know that. How else do you think I've kept you around for so long?"

"Very funny Audrey." I took the final sip of my coffee. "So how was your day at work anyway?"

"Nothing too exciting really. Just the same old office work, but not bored of it yet."

"Not to mention that suit you're wearing, it just drives me nuts."

Audrey gave me a sly smirk before standing up and sitting on my lap. "You know what I'd love to do to you right now?"

"Oh boy, do I want to know." I said as I began to leave kisses on her neck.

"I'd love to show you."

She grabbed my collar and shoved her lips into mine but before we could deepen it we heard a familiar little girls voice call out.

"MOM! DAD! I'M HOME!"

Audrey and I just let out a laugh together as she stood up and gave me a kiss on the cheek. As we watched our amazing little Kyu run around the corner of the house, so I opened my arms and like always she ran up and gave me a big hug as I held her close.

"So how was your day at school little fairy?" I asked.

"It was good, I played hide and seek and I was the best!" She said as she dropped her school bag underneath the table. "I was the last person to be found!"

"You're a real pro at it then." Audrey said as she gave Kyu a hug.

"Yeah I am! Nobody can beat me at hiding!"

Her smile was truly the most amazing thing in this world, and it made all the shit I had to go through to get here alsolutely worth it.

"Now why don't you take your bag inside, unpack it and we'll go check on the animals while Dad gets started on dinner." Audrey told her.

"OOH! What's for dinner tonight Dad?" Kyu asked me.

"Having a lamb roast tonight, with chips and maybe a little bit of jelly for desert." I told her with a smile.

"That sounds so yummy!"

"Then I'll get started on it right away, just for you."

She gave me another big hug before picking up her bag and taking it inside.
