*??? POV*
"So is everything in order for tonight?" Mister Madreez asked me.
"Yes sir, Mister Barker is due to be in the nightclub tonight at 7:30pm." I answered him while keeping my gaze down.
"Good. Now has the evidence been planted?"
"Yes sir, the photos have been planted in the desk."
"And the letter?"
"In place sir."
Mister Madreez leaned back in his chair and put his hands together, I could see a devious grin stretch onto his face.
"Excellent. By midnight tonight, the plague will wash over this town."
*Your POV*
I slowly opened my eyes and took in a deep breath, I could feel that Audrey's arms was still over my chest but my arm had moved in my sleep so I was holding her close by her waist.
"Guess old habits die hard."
I reached with my free hand and grabbed my phone from the nightstand and looked at the time.
"6:30am, I'm usually up early but never this early."
I put my phone back and looked down to Audrey who was resting her head on my chest. She wasn't kidding about letting her hair return to normal, even though it would take a couple months for the black to grow out. I could see the roots of her hair were slowly turning red, it was a nice bright red.
"I suppose I better get up, I'm awake so I might as well get an early start."
I slowly made my way out of bed being careful not to wake Audrey up as I uncoiled myself from her grasp.
"Finally made it out, man that girl has some grip."
I threw on my boxers and pants from last night as I slipped my phone into my pocket and made my way out of the room expecting to see the door to Jessie's room closed but surprisingly it was open and the curtains were open.
"Odd, I thought she'd enjoy a sleep in after a long night."
I began to walk downstairs, careful to not make an excessive noise that could wake anyone that was still asleep. I stepped into the kitchen and there Jessie was, with toast on a plate and a hot mug of coffee next to it. And as for Jessie, well she was just reading the news paper.
"Enjoying the paper?" I asked as I went to the coffee machine to make myself a coffee.
"Not this morning, just stories and articles about what happened to Nikki. Hopefully they don't try and ask her any questions, poor girl has been through enough." She told me.
"Well she's not at home but it wouldn't surprise me if people come looking here for her."
"That's what I'm worried about, so for the foreseeable future, Nikki will have a place to stay here."
I started the coffee machine and waited as I watched Jessie flip through the paper till one article caught my attention.
"Can I see that article?" I asked.
"Sure, I'm done with it anyway. Even the cartoons this week are boring." She admitted.
She handed me the paper and I began to read the article.
-Drugs found at local university-
A small police drug raid on the university campus dormitories two nights ago has uncovered a multitude of illegal substances. From small time drugs such as marijuana to life threatening drugs like cocaine and methamphetamine. This is a scary outcome as the university has always prided itself with having drug free facilities and dormitories, but this could change with the sudden rise in alleged drug deals happening all over the town. Reports of students turning up late to classes and spacing out are becoming more frequent and widespread across classrooms.
