Unlikely Ally

I opened the door to my apartment and stepped inside. It was hard to believe I hadn't been back in here since this whole thing started.

"Maybe I should find myself some guy friends."

I walked into my bedroom and looked at my bed, it still wasn't made and my stuff was pulled out of my wardrobe and piled on my bed or on the floor.

"Well clearly Briggs has already been through my home, doubt that he found anything useful."

I knelt down in front of my closet and moved my hand along the wall till I found what I was looking for, the fake wall. I pried back the fake wall and pulled out my suitcase which I kept just for such an occasion. I placed the suitcase next to me and opened it up revealing my suit and some short stacks of cash that I will need for tonight.

"I'd say a shower is needed before I head out. It's been a long time since I've done this."

I quickly stepped into the shower and turned the water on as a knock came at the door.

"Worst timing ever."

"I'll be right out!" I called out.

I turned the water off and stepped out as I wrapped a towel around my waist making sure nothing was showing. I opened the door and saw Mrs Lee standing outside.

"Oh, I'm sorry to disrupt your shower F/N." Mrs Lee apologised.

"No it's fine, I'm only here to pick up a few things then I'm headed out for the night." I explained to her.

"Okay, I just thought I should come tell you that a few men in suits turned up yesterday and looked through your apartment. They said they were with the FBI, are you alright?"

"I'm fine Mrs Lee, just some minor things, nothing to worry about."

"Well alright, just don't get yourself hurt."

"I won't."

I closed the door as Mrs Lee walked back next door. I let out a sigh as I stepped back into the bathroom and dropped the towel and my phone went off telling me I had a message.

"For fucks sake."

I picked up my phone and saw it was a message from Audrey, I opened it and saw that it had a photo attached. I hesitated for a second but eventually opened up the photo and it was Audrey with Aiko...naked...and Aiko's head was in between Audrey's legs.

Audrey: Since you're not fucking her anymore I thought I'd share a lovely moment I had with her a few months ago...hope this gets you hard for tonight

"Fucking hell Audrey."

I put my phone down next to the sink and stepped back into the shower to finally calm myself down.

"I need to be fully aware of my surroundings at all times tonight."

I closed my eyes and remembered the last few moments I was part of that world.

*Flashback*

She fell to the floor as the bullet tore through the back of her head, the glass table underneath her shattered and caused more blood to spill out.

"A familiar sight."

I threw the pistol away and turned my attention to her husband who was on the ground staring me in the eyes.

"You fuck! I raised you like you were my own son!" He screamed at me.

I put the barrel to his knee and pulled the trigger and the pellets tore through his flesh and bone, the sound was...satisfying. He screamed out bloody murder as he crawled back away from me, knocking over nearby stools and alcohol bottles.
